I have some newbie questions:
1. If I get to -10 rep with a faction, how do I get back in their favour? I assume that the palace and spice hall would be closed?
2. I noticed that it is hard to keep a good rep with everyone. I don't want to be the target of bounty hunters early on and want some rep so that I can buy trading permits. I am playing an explorer on normal difficulty. I guess I could take missions against independents only?
3. What determines how many contracts I get from factions? At the start I have been unable to get a single contract from a planet!
4. What does it mean that charisma helps in spice halls? Does it mean that more crew are available for recruiting?
5. I am a little confused as to how many crew I can handle on planetary explorations. I know it is based on intimidate, but how much intimidate do I need?
Thanks.

Hi ! first : welcome to the forum Then : I can only answers a few of your questions so here we go : 1. If you go to a planet controled by a faction with low rep (to -10 if I remember correctly) you'll have access to the palace and you could buy a pardon. Otherwise, you'll have access to the spice hall and you could take contract from there but you'll probably get a lot of encounters landing on the planet first. 2. Taking contracts against independents will save your rep but will hinder your morale (since your crew don't like working against independents). My advice would be to choose one faction (or more if you like ) that you don't care and take any contract against them but balancinig it with contract on independents. I can't answer your other questions and I don't want to add confusion so I'll leave them to more knowledgeable people I hope I had help you anyway.
