John Robinson - definitely one of my favorite pieces of art floating through the Art Stream right now. It is a good reminder to come back to working on it. Such a great action shot of Selen!

Great depth perception, looks like it goes on forever. Stalagmite pillars with wide bases bring to life how easy it is to get ambushed in HoS and what a real choke point might look like.

Ahh I see the direction the UI might go in very interesting.
Rendered Quadrant map would make awesome wallpaper! It really hits home just how enormous this part of the galaxy is going to be.
Line art. First officer on the left, any chance of seeing her rendered in color first? A rare feast for the eyes harhar

I just posted one of the female officers completed - the mechanic. John Robinson - now I am wondering if you were saying "first on the left" or "first from the left" or ... I hope I got the right one captain nemo - thanks! Just posted some sweet images of a ship in dock, refueling and unloading cargo.

I just posted one of the female officers completed - the mechanic. John Robinson - now I am wondering if you were saying "first on the left" or "first from the left" or ... I hope I got the right one captain nemo - thanks! Just posted some sweet images of a ship in dock, refueling and unloading cargo. Yep you got the right one. Pay this one whatever she wants and the crew will work for free! The color palette and first layer of shading are much closer in look to the HoS characters. The finished version is an astonishing evolution in the graphics. The Quadrant map is beautiful but I had no idea you were going to apply the same high quality in the characters themselves, players are going to be blown away! The shading on the neck and collar bones really makes it pop, you spent some quality time on the lips wow! I can see a captain listening to high tech details needed to repair the ship, while looking at this face just nodding "Yeah whatever you need, money's tight but here's the credit card, get anything you need for yourself too!" It's not all eye candy she has her sleeves rolled up and she looks ready for serious work, and the lights are definitely on behind those eyes (although Balgair's questionable moral compass is delighted at how the boots are held up). I've never seen so many small details on any character to date. I don't know how you did the background but it really looks cool. Now for the docked cargo ship. Landing ramp is down with light spilling onto the tarmack! Cables and hoses coming from the the port in the floor and what actually looks like a column of steam or warm air from below hitting cold air topside is impressive. What do the letters on the floor port door stand for? Gunmetal gray steel on ships upper surfaces and then the bronze sides really give it a rounded shape. Yellow gold trim on wing edges, exhaust ports, landing lights. Are those extra cargo pods mounted on top of the wings? The hanger deck has seen some hard use, scarred floor, cracked floor paint, is that engine residue or skid marks from landing hot? Everything about this ship will make it instantly recognizable from any other. I can't wait to join the Alpha to see more of these. If this is a cargo ship Warships and smugglers are going to be worth every penny. If the art is any indication of the game play this will be a great success. Getting into the Alpha will give me a real leg up on understanding how the game works, how to play the intricate parts and explore not one but a galaxy of quadrants! p.s. I would love to see a portrait of Selen done with the new techniques. I can hardly wait to see ST2 on my high res Kindle HD

Don't think I can improve on John Robinson 's comments but completely agree with them. So I'll just stick to " Wow that looks Great !! " If this is what we are going to get for ships in ST2 I'm so excited !!! And you created the perfect girl too.... Sexy and down to Earth also Really love the new techniques and you are setting a new high for your art standards. Congrats on some excellent work. mechanic reminds me of Kaylee from Firefly..

Way to go Martin excellent work, are you planning a comic book for TA2? I don't think this is going to be a safe place to land! I can hear ominous background music as it grows larger in the view screen during final approach! I got my Butt Kicked on TA1 Easy difficulty. Hope I can do better this time around. 20 min squad dead, 30 min squad dead, 5 min we aren't going in there with the new C.O. lets shoot him instead!
