I've noticed "dead" map spaces in numerous runs of the tutorial map. They are spaces on the map that can not be selected/targeted by anything, and ships will even navigate around it as if it was an obstacle (but there. In my current run, one "dead" spot I've identified is at the coordinates [14,12]. They always seem to be in the spot directly above a system (In this case the system at [14/13]; I don't know its name since it is currently Xeno occupied). I seem to remember finding one or more similar dead spots in other locations in past runs, but I can't find any others in this run right now (and I have the whole map explored).
I haven't played any other maps yet so I don't know if this occurs on maps other than the tutorial one.

I just noticed this in my game today. I'm playing a huge map, 100x100. The xeno colonized a new world near me and when I tried to surround it with my invasion fleet the square in the 12 o'clock position was "dead". I could not select it, could not navigate to it. I had to shut down the game (can't get caught playing at work ) and when I restarted, the square was back to normal. I'm using a galaxy tab 7, GT-P3113.
