Since the latest update (1.3.3), at the start of many of my game turns I notice a brief flash of text on the screen, but it's only there for a split second so I can't quite make out what it's saying. I think it changes a bit to from time to time. I think I've seen the words "Xebolits", "Xeno" and possibly "level" in the line of text. Not sure if this is leftover debugging text, or something that is supposed to appear longer as information for the player. Note that it only appears at the start of some turns.
For info: I've noticed this while playing on easy mode with the Thulun/Javat/Steelsong factions on the tutorial map.

You seem to be running into some pretty strange and unique bugs.
What type of device are you using? Does it have any custom ROM or memory modifying stuff loaded on it?

I have looked on Droid, Droid X, both Nexus 7, HTC EVO, HTC Evo LTE, Memo 7, Asus Transformer, Kindle, Kindle HDX, Nexus 5, Shield, Incredible, HTC M8, Intel Atom emulator, Google emulator, and a few others, but still not seeing either bug  |

I'm using a stock Galaxy S3, android v4.4.2. No custom ROM or anything funky like that.

I passed a few turns in my current game but wasn't seeing it, so I started a fresh game on tutorial, easy AI, Thulun/Javat/Steelsong factions, and started noticing the text right away again at the start of each turn. I looked closely and was able to decipher the flashes of text. They read: "Xebolits Xeno at 1 level and $30". Wasn't sure if it was $30 exactly but some small dollar amount similar to that. After passing a few turns, I noticed it was saying "Xebolits Xeno at 2 level and $...", I think the dollar amount had changed as well.
Edit: I kept passing turns to see any change. Some turns no text showed up, but some it would, and always the same message "Xebolits Xeno at # level and $###". The printed level # and dollar amount seemed to increase over subsequent turns. The messages appear slightly to the lower left of the screen.

I noticed this sometimes too. I started a new game as described by terrik, simply pressed End Turn without doing anything and saw the text flash. It is right before the turn notifications and advisor pop up at the start of the turn.
Verizon LG G2, 4.4.2, most recent game version, never rooted, in fact just factory reset so there are no additional 3rd party apps.
Another bug, the first turn is 1.1 AE, second turn is 1.2 AE, third 1.3 AE, etc until it goes to 1.11 AE, 1.12 AE, 1.13...
Shouldn't it begin at 1.0X AE not 1.X AE? Unless ST dates work like app version numbers instead of decimals.

I get brief text popping up between turns. Its very quick and hard to read. If i have a chance I'll try to pay closer attention and read it. Usually starts "Xeno" and then a few more words. I have a galaxy S3.

Apparently whatever it says isn't supposed to be there. My first thought was it was some kind of notification and maybe a bug that it appears so quickly. Don't drive yourself crazy over this because it is not changing my enjoyment of the game.
