You need to hit the disconnect button until you get back to the screen that says Connect. (not the one with the actual terminal running on the side) Once you are there, the only way to get back is to hit the back button on the device.

I just want to add here (or restate in case it's already been said elsewhere) that where you fetch your paydata (PD) is important as to the size of each PD download you get.
In most common matrix nodes, you snag 2MP per successful download (not bad for the novice hacker or other class cross-training as one), but if you dig into the big primary corporate server nodes (STAR-NET or E! for example), you get a nice 5MP per take which really adds up quickly if you have the patience, decent Hacking skill of somewhere in the ballpark of 6 or so, and a good steady rhythm with your fingers hitting the buttons in the proper sequence while monitoring time and heat as you go (I've taken 1000MP like this with my hacker using her rating 5 Fairlight computer). Beware, however, that diving into places like STAR-NET and similar ilk is super serious business, and you will face the toughest resistance, and the biggest risks in these top-tier nodes (which I expect will get trickier with future updates). Come prepared, or be ready to get repeatedly force-booted off the major nodes while your time drops like a rock, and your heat skyrockets.
For now, hacking is by far the most lucrative money maker in the game, but there's a dangerous catch when selling your pilfered digital info. Depending on the data you're selling, it can change your reputation with a faction by leaps and bounds. Try selling just 250MP data for any faction, and be amazed how much your rep changes with them in a bad way. Even just a 100MP sale makes a pretty substantial change.
Right now, my greedy little hacker is well over -1200 for K. Horizon, but BraveStar loves her to death. Suddenly, that -99 she has with Streets feels pretty cozy by comparison.
P.S. One more thing: When you see a message on the Matrix window say something like...
"Null Volume: 0 Matches V-Delta"
or
"Null Volume in Drive: No Volumes"
...that's your computer's way of saying that your mad hacking skillz have bled that node dry of paydata and it's time to leave (use disconnect button on the interface).
Some problems... 1)i downloaded many PD but when i tried to sell those, they misteriously disappeared...surely a bug... 2)i continue to not understand the disconnect UI,the system goes to random(?) previous nodes without a sense eg i'm in bravestar.net,if i press "disconnect" the system doesnt take me on direct previous node, but in in a node I previously visited, without a logic...

1) I've yet to run into that problem myself. I encourage others encountering such a problem to inform the Bros. Maybe it's a bug, but I can't recreate it on my copy of the game.
Which factions did the data belong to, by the way? Does it happen all the time, or just sometimes at random?
2) I think it's supposed to go back one node each time you d/c from a node. In fact, let me write up a short playthrough of what I experience while playing the game...
(starts up CK)
OK, last time on CK, I was conveniently standing in front of the terminal at Commonwealth in Los V turf. I connect and hack down to the Network pipes list. It reads:
DT*T E! Net CommonwealthNET New Boston Exchange
I don't think the IP address numbers matter other than to differentiate nodes that have identical names like the AzTek "A1" and "A2" nodes (there's two of each, iirc).
Since I want to swipe Los V data to sell to my buddy Cognac, I connect to CommonwealthNET. I steal data, but I want more. Hack Net gives me a new pipe, "NetTel for Commonwealth". I could go deeper, but let's d/c now...
Okay, it tried to deny me a couple of times, but when I succeeded...hey, it took me back to the original Commonwealth node I used to connect to the Matrix with. Hmm...
Alright, I try it again, and this time I do go deeper, and...well that's weird. You're right, Slide, I never noticed that before. It does indeed take you randomly back up the nodes you connected through as you d/c off of each one. A bug, or intended feature of the game? Not a real problem for me and my play-style, but it is kind of weird I guess.

Ehi,so i'm not alone =) !!! ^_^ Yes if this procedure is intentional(It can be) Bros please explain us in which way...=) 'Cause it's a bit frustrating xD For Point 1,I recently discovered that Paydata disappeared 'cause my Computer Memory was only 50 MP and it was full...xD BTW there should be a toast that notifies not enough space...=) Instead Now the UI allows to dl Paydata even if PDA Memory is full...
