I have read the thread, haven't been able to figure out exactly what is up.
#1. Possible issue with Computer Memory blocking some operations (there are so many operations, be specific PLEASE)
#2. Possible issue with Disconnect Matrix Host Order? People are reporting out of order Matrix Hosts?

Ehi,so i'm not alone =) !!! ^_^ Yes if this procedure is intentional(It can be) Bros please explain us in which way...=) 'Cause it's a bit frustrating xD For Point 1,I recently discovered that Paydata disappeared 'cause my Computer Memory was only 50 MP and it was full...xD BTW there should be a toast that notifies not enough space...=) Instead Now the UI allows to dl Paydata even if PDA Memory is full... Yeah, for now you have to do it the hard way by mentally tracking how much MP space you have left while referring to your computer between hack sessions and monitoring how much space you have left. When I'm down to like the last 50 or so of space (or when I come close to my goal if I don't want to fill my computer up entirely), I just start counting down how much I have left with each download. "45...40...35...almost there...no! Don't force-crash me AGAIN you fragging K. Horizon piece of crap node! Grrr..." |

What class of character is the best for hacking?
Also, what skills other than hacking are useful? Just max out mind and intelligence (and hacking)?

sheado - thanks for the ping on this one. I will do a bit of work on the buttons to help them be more clearly highlighted when they are ready for action. They are (from top left down): - Hack Firewall - giving you access to the system in general - Hack Access - giving you the ability to use a normal user account on the system - Hack Root - giving you direct access to the system and its data The one in the corner is Hack Network, which will change the network pipe that you will go to if you use the Connect button. Each node (what you are seeing on the screen) has one or more network pipes that leave it. To change the connection, you need to successfully Hack Network. IIRC, that requires at least Hack Access to be successful.

I think I'm doing something wrong. I keep downloading the payloads, but in my political screen it is not showing any increase in paydata files. I actually spiderwalked the network and no luck.

I've done a bunch, Mars, AzTek, BraveStar, and K. Horizon are ones I remember. I will do the three icons on the side and the go to another network, and them maybe do that a few times, then find files and hit download. It will say something like
24AB57153D53D[AzTek] but the AzTek will still stay as 0 MP of paydata files.

Can you sell the paydata to an interested datahound? which would indicate you are getting it ok, but the screen is not getting properly updated to say you have it vs you cannot, which would indicate that you really don't have the stuff, even if you have done the downloading actions properly and ought to have it. |

Awesome. Ty. I suggest spending the extra few cred and getting the hacking plus 2 implant. It's relatively cheap. If I don't want it I put it into hacker runners.

What do we need to make this fully updated? Not sure, but since the new art for making what we would write today is already awaiting code and not the other way around, now is perhaps the wrong time to update this guide. |
