There are no information as to what these do,
And when you're creating a ship they show none of the defense bonus's they show in the research tree
In reseach Phoenix Defense Pod shows
+1 Defense
In ship construction it shows:
Mass 100
0 AP and 1 Slots, 0-0 Damage
Build for 0 cp + $2; Maint $2/Turn
The same types of information is shown for all Close in Defense weapons in construction mode. (ergo no show of what bonus it gives)

The Close In Defense give +X Defense against Xeno Mass Driver ships.

Awesomdary -- it would help a LOT if you posted devices with bug reports. Otherwise, we are just guessing a lot of the time, or trying to figure out what device you might be using based on the size of the screenshot. #2577 4X - RFE - Show CID Bonuses on Unknown Device

Same for me. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, model GT-P3113. I see no buffs for the close-in defense options. Just slots and costs.

Which screen are you looking at and not seeing it? What CID are you specifically looking at that isn't listing a bonus? |

I grabbed the new update today, 1.4.5, but I still don't see the bonuses for the CID. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, model GT-P3113 Bummer, I tested on three different 7 inch tablets of similar design. Which screen are you looking at and not seeing it? What CID are you specifically looking at that isn't listing a bonus? There appears to be a missing line of text in the ship designer. When I'm choosing weapons and CID, the CID info has 4 lines displayed as follows: Gravity Spike (Close in Defense) 0 AP and 1 slots, 0-0 dmg Build for 2 CP + $30, maint 4/turn It seems like there should be more data in that blank line. All CIDs are like this. I chose this one simply to illustrate. The only place I can see the defense stat is after the ship is built. When I view the ship detail and check the load out, I can see it there. Doesn't help much when designing though. |
