Hi Guys,
Has the difficulty just had a jack up in difficulty too or am I imagining things?
Xeno colonies are growing much faster on the new maps I am exploring in Hard- is this connected to the Dark Xeno mod by any chance?

tonkatsu - what new maps and which aliens? There was no change in difficulty across the game during the update.

Hi there,
I recently nailed: 1 Rinze, huge, 90 colonies 100x100, 3 Xeno (extreme) 2 Rim, 42 colonies, 64x64, 2 Xeno (hard) 3 Rim, 100 x 100, 60 colonies, 2 Xeno (hard)
For 1 and 3 I was left alone until I attacked with a full armada.
For my last 2 games: Degla, 100x100, 112 worlds (average) Rinse, 75x100, 99 worlds (hard)
The Xeno have been growing colonies much more rapidly and are quicker to attack, which is great and much more of a challenge. No complaints, very happy, will forego switching to Crazy until I am better!

Aliens were Dark Xeno and Sidtax respectively. Thanks for the great game!

FYI, Xeno Colony growth rate did NOT change, nor is it different between Dark Terrox and Terrox. You mention a "Dark Xeno mod" which isn't a thing. There were NO modification made for the Dark Terrox. They've been in the game since the Alpha, but we agreed they were too hard to add to any maps until people had a chance to master the game. We've gotten several detailed reports of player victories on Impossible against 3 opponents on large maps -- so it became clear that the Dark Terrox needed to be released. All I did was add them to a map or two by changing a text file that lists which AI types go on which maps. Other than that, no adjustments to the Xeno difficulty system of any type.
