I issued a minor pride challenge, then the whole pledge dropped. Clearly I upset Cadar nation, and for that I'm grievously sorry.

I'm so happy that the initial goal has been passed, and we are going to get ST2!!! I remember back when I started in this forum, the dream was ST2 - that mystical carrot in the far forever. Now we are many HUGE steps closer to the reality! Congratulations fallen and Cory Trese. We still have a few more days to go for the stretch goals, but they are just the cherry on the top of a MASSIVE mound of whipped cream! I know it has been a long 33 days, but thank you all for sticking with us. Really - it's been 33 days?! The time has rocketed by and we've all had a blast just keeping up the excitement and enthusiasm. It's been like the longest party ever, and that's even BEFORE we hit funding! I also do say WE because this community has come together so incredibly well, and success was in great part by individuals with massive hearts inspiring others. One of the new faction flags is previously used by aliens. What does this mean? I've been telling you for years now, Steel Song has strong ties with the Narvidians. I know for a fact that they are too stupid to actually create the Narv's, but they definitely tried getting intimate with them. I think Steel Song are the reason why Aliens love anal probes so much!

I don't think we can say thank you enough. We'll get busy right away, but for the next 52 hours we are heads down trying to win you the Orbital Stations. You deserve it!slayernz - it's amazing ... for 4 years, the answer was "That sounds like something for ST 2." For the longest time, it seemed something always over the horizon and a dream we'd never reach. Now, it is the horizon. Here we come, Star Traders 2!

Alright! Now it just needs to come out, lol You're telling me, brother. By my calculations we only have an expected 9 month wait till possible alpha time. Of course, everything can change depending on development, but I'm putting a great big 'ole circle around next July!

This kickstarter drove me broke- I can't continue my full Patreon pledge(lol and sad face at the same time) Kickstarters are special occassions, we had a feeling it would hit Patreon supporters particularly hard. Some of you gave a year or more in Patreon support in a single day. The Kickstarter has been amazing. Thank you all for coming out to keep us going!

slayernz : of course I'm joking ! I know it will start right after the alpha phase end I cannot imagine putting you, or Andrew, through another one of these for a long, long time. With any luck, we'll enter a phase of self-sufficient growth between now and ST2's release. Not that I don't love Kickstarters, they're exciting, but at the same time ... making games is more fun =)

So is this the time for me to request that the Trese Brothers create the Mobile MMORPG of our dreams, perhaps a Steampunk setting with weird science, magic, vampires and werewolves....

I have yet to see an interesting Steampunk game that is not a tabletop. Oh yeah, congrats to you Cory Trese and fallen ! I know you will thank me but let me say this: You guys make the games that we all love. You deserve the thanks for this. You could have easily stayed with your corporate jobs and just had Star Traders as a hobby, like when it started. But no, you guys had the drive, imagination, and faith in each other to go from your jobs that you knew would put food on the table and you went to the uncertainty of an indie dev studio. You guys keep us in the loop and keep us involved and make us feel like we are part of the development process for the best games ever. So it was all I could do to support such a great pair of guys. Thanks for Star Traders, thanks for Cyber Knights and Templar Assault. Thanks for Age of Pirates. Thanks for the 4X. Thanks for Heroes of Steel. Thanks for being the great guys that you are. Most of all, thanks for keeping the adventure going, that sense of amazement and "Wow, this is so cool!" that I get every time I see a new update. Most game developers never get that from me. There are few things that have captured me like TB games, and they are all things I play out of nostalgia. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart for your awesome games.

I can't agree more with Brutus Aurelius, you wrote down what's in my mind just now. Cory Trese : I was just kidding you of course I will wait for CK 2 as I had waited for ST 2 but I can wait (a little ;D )

I have yet to see an interesting Steampunk game that is not a tabletop. Arcanum is pretty good. I would definitely be interested in a Trese Brothers steampunk game though, after seeing what they've done with cyber-punk. Perhaps an airship piracy game?
