65 cents for answering a few questions about my hobbies. Seriously this app is one of the best things on my phone. I just did a wave of personal info questions and I've been getting a ton more because of it! I'm all out of things to buy, you guys-- Time for another HoS character or some more 4X skins! Stockpile those credits for all things Trese Now I just need something to spend it on. I'd rather those credits go to you guys.

I'm not sure if I've posted in this thread before but Google Rewards has basically paid for all of my apps over the last 5 years. I just checked and I usually get one survey every week or two and have made about $60 total.
One thing to note.. Don't lie on the surveys.. Google knows. And they will cut you off. I remember a reddit post from a few years back where a bunch of people got asked about a particular water park, if they've visited, how they liked it, etc. The water park doesn't exist. People who answered saying they went there found they longer got any more surveys. Google needed a way to ensure validity of the answers and I guess that is one of their solutions. I haven't gotten asked about that water park but I have been asked about places I've never heard of. Just answer as best/truthfully as you can and they'll keep sending surveys. Sometimes you get a bunch in a short time, others you may go a while without any. But the money is there and it's a solid way to get basically free apps.

You should also mention in your OP that having a rooted phone may mean you don't get any surveys. I was getting surveys for nearly two years, then stopped getting them entirely. I thought maybe they just stopped after a while, but later I found posts around the web that specifically allude to this. If Google can detect that the phone is rooted, no surveys for you! You may be able to work around this using a systemless root such as Magisk, but it's not guaranteed. I've had mixed results myself, with my current Moto G5 Plus rooted and getting surveys, and my former rooted Nexus 6 not getting any.

I did this in the old days, but i refuse to let google track my every step in life just for some "Free" virtual currency. 6-10$ for 100s of hours of gameplay is a good investment. Go to gamestop and find a game for that price...i'll wait.

That "free virtual" currency is still currency that can be used to pay developers and it is real money on their end even if you're limited as to where it can be spent.

I have no problem paying good developers, and Trese are good developers. My problem lies with the spying and privacy invasion of Google. Haven't used a google search in years, and don't miss it.

Been using this for 5 years now. Haven't paid for an app in all that time. I've actually had more credit expire than I've used probably.

Been using this for 5 years now. Haven't paid for an app in all that time. I've actually had more credit expire than I've used probably. I have it setup to cover my monthly subscription to extra space on Google Drive, $1.99 / month. So my goal is to keep answering enough that I can cover that. However, I haven't had a survey in months ...

It's probably coincidence, but I find that when I haven't had a survey for a while, if I open the app, I get a survey soon afterwards. Now this may be cause and effect or it may be that the length of time it takes me to notice that I haven't had a survey is about the same as the time they leave you between batches, (I suspect the latter is more likely).

Interesting, I think I had the same thing happen just now.
