Although owning a Planetary Outpost could shield you from the fickle political madness that always makes you an enemy of somebody. You could have a safe supply of water fuel and cargo. Small craft Combat enhances ship battles. Orbital Stations could add a whole new dimension to combat occurring during exploration?
The description for Orbital Stations includes "Missions will include investigation of long abandoned stations and ghosts of alien infestation" is just too good to pass up.
So Orbital Stations gets my vote

Chose Orbital Stations, Small craft combat would be really great but I think that stations would give us more bang per buck, so to speak.
Asynch multiplayer would be amazingly awesome but I think it would require the TB to go into an overtime fueled coma for the next year so, backburner it!

aaaaawww they are all too good ... want them all ... must get them all ... I did pick Planetary Outposts though, because that is something I dreamed about a long time ago when my cache was raided for the umpteenth time

I voted orbital outpost as well. That would give your captain so many more options. Orbital stations come second, because I'm selfish and would rather have my own first! So cool to be having this poll ... we're funded! Yahoo!!!!! . . picture a little white poodle in a pink tutu up on her hind legs twirling in victory dance!

Sweet Polly Purebred what ... a cat not good enough? I love cats but I'm allergic to them. Besides, you've got the monopoly on cute cat pictures. I think the cat in this picture is not so happy about it - that's a pretty affronted look.

The Derail Express comes in and stops. Ntsheep hops out and hooks this thread up to the end of the train and gets back on. Pulling on the the whistle he yells,
"ALL ABOARD! Next stop Best Derailed Threads thread!"

I did NOT derail this thread - Orbital Cat stations are all the rage and anyway I think it was grävling that started it

I'd love to see what you think and answer any forum questions. If anything comes up a lot, we'll add it to the KS FAQ. Orbital stations because voice acting has no chance to win if I vote for it

We win no matter what happens in this poll. I'm trying to imagine fallen doing 300 different voices.

One thing, fallen and Cory Trese , I honestly think that ST2 should NOT be released without a thorough help guide. For a dumb game, a game guide/help guide is not necessary. You two don't do dumb games. You do complex freaking mazes of code and details. Thus, as you code away, find someone to gather the data up and make the help file. I bet it will help sell the game and reduce player frustration. Heck, one of the reasons -I- stopped playing Age of Pirates is because I didn't understand the game at all. Since it isn't a passion, like space, I didn't want to invest the time bumbling through every darn hiccup in the hopes I would learn something. See, if it is a passion, I'll smash against the learning curve and love every second of it. If its something I'm merely curious/dubious about, I won't be as dedicated. A game guide helps significantly retain that interest without 'dumbing down' the game itself. Plus, really, its important for the players to understand the game in the first place. rabid PS: Though I've said it before. Congrats on the funding.

I think one of the things the Kickstarter gives us is time. I understand what you're saying rabidbite and I agree with you. Many of our previous schedules have been dictated by outside forces. This time, you've bought us time to get it right. I doubt we'll have a finished help guide for the first alpha build, but we'll have something. And I have a belief that we will have a finished version before the production release.
