i guess its abit late i get the game now. But i think i run into trouble as well. I played as a bounty hunter and try to kill, beat people up as much as i can. Somehow, in the end, i m a fugitive of royal justice, most wanted head and enemy of state and all syndicate. Guess i did it mindlessly. What kind of troubles are you referring to? If you are playing a combat oriented captain, I (and few others) can probably help you if you tell us what you like to achieve. What difficulty are you playing?

I'm new to the game, but I followed Cory's explorer strategy with a modification. I start out as a Javat explorer and allocate the initial XP's to explorer and pilot. This enabled me to get a javat trade permit right away, but I don't sell them my licensed goods, I travel to aro prime which is an independent controlled planet. If you sell licensed goods back to a faction or syndicate, like I did with my last captain, someone else will brand you as a crime lord in one turn (-85, I believe, it was a pretty good haul). I was also able to get a military rank pretty early and eventually got better upgrades than what you can get when you start out with De Valtos. This time, I'm trying to keep my rep with all the factions and syndicates either good or not so bad, definitely less than -10

This time, I'm trying to keep my rep with all the factions and syndicates either good or not so bad, definitely less than -10 The -85 was probably due to a trade ban that you ignore, hence the fall of your rep. If you're like me and mostly either don't remember who's banning who or the toast are so fast that you can't catch them, here are some ways to avoid the mistake : 1- get the political officer. She'll warn you of any trade ban as you enter the exchange. (sorry but I don't remember where I get her in my game...) 2- try selling non restrict good in small quantity first (like 1 plant) and see if there's a toast warning you of the trade ban. 3- if your rep with a faction is negative but you still have access to the palace, buy a pardon (It may be expensive but it can help manage your loss of rep) or go to the spice hall and do some contract to raise your rep. Hope it'll help

Good luck, Captain! You wrote to get 150k and get the second ahip. How and where do Yoh get the ship? How many ships can You own and how do You change betwen them ?

Do You buy it as a new ship or rank ship in military base? I like to use the Ship Designer, but both the options you named are valid choices. If you do not have Rank at the Starport, you cannot add ships to the Military Base. You'll see the "Purchase" button show up if you have the Rank and Credits, and in that case you keep your current ship and the new purchase goes to Dry Dock.
