I've had several times where I am improving an upgrade (say a mine 1 to mine 2) and I have *another* mine 1 that I want to demolish, but there doesn't seem to be a way to tell which exact mine is the one currently being improved (so as not to demolish that one). Maybe in the "Upgrades" list for a system there could be a little symbol or text or something on an upgrade that is currently being improved to indicate this?
Edit: Ah, I just noticed that you can click on each upgrade and try to improve it, and if it's already being improved a message appears stating so. I guess that works. Not immediately apparent but it does the job.

At the time, it is a performance trade off. I'll see if there is anything we can do to provide better information.
The workaround added during the alpha is to pre-warn you before the Upgrade To and Buy screen, which helps a lot!

I think that it might prove beneficial for the notifications to stay on the screen longer. As it sortof blips by quickly and then dissappears.

A balancing act.
