So I've recently gotten back into this game, and I couldn't help but share a couple of niggling ideas that have been floating around in the entropy that is my brain. They aren't in any particular order, but rather in a sort of stream of consciousness.
Ejemplos para los hermanos Trese:
1). Scenarios: A pre-set up game where you start out with preordained limitations or circumstances. This can enable some challenges that people can complete for the best score in.
A few examples:
* No colonies: start with a massive armada of ships, which then progresses until the last of your ships is out of fuel, or dead. This is complete with support ships and combat ships of many roles. The goal is to hold out as long as possible against the Xenos swarm and test your combat knowledge.
* Divide and conquer: this requires a custom map where the grid is sectioned off into three segments. One of your colony ships is in each if these three areas and has to fight for themselves against thealiens Xenos Filth. This can lead to some interesting engagements where you are fighting three different wars at the same time. Obviously this is preferable on large maps.
* Galactic Core: the center of the map is a dense cluster of vibrant stars that are of the richest mineral quality. The outer fringes hold barely enough to scrape by. The alien AI only fights to secure the middle and then stops, giving you time to attempt to retake your land.
--- side note: I know a map maker is not going to be implemented, however these all seem possible to make fairly easily.
2). Live-ships: A late game ship that is a mobile colony in itself. With its population depending upon upgrades, and various limitations I have not thought of this could become an interesting implementation.
3). This last one really isn't a suggestion and more of a notation: while there is a clear set piece of the Shalun universe, the game has very little lore. I was wondering if there was a way the community could assist in adding more lore pieces to the game world.
That is all.
