grävlingThanks. Looks like I'm going to have some fun swapping components once I get a grip on earning enough cash. Boarding results can be soooo expensive! I'm flying Cadar Military going after their enemies. Do you think a Bounty Hunter using the Juror Class for boarding makes more money? Do Edicts create negative rep? I can't remember if they are legally sanctioned death/capture warrants.

Except for Smugglers? Then they'd be hotbeds of activity. I understand you're taking a legal merchants view to this, but the game is creating a rich galactic map that can be played and enjoyed by all types of Captains. Yes, it might create places where Merchants can't profit. In that case, start dealing under the table (black market feature pending), or travel elsewhere. if we made every Quadrant a great place for a merchant to be, I think we'd really ruin the game. You will also find Quadrants that are nearly or completely dead -- all wild zones, crap populations and econs, or nothing but abandoned orbitals. Ohhhh, a wonderful place for Explorers but a Merchant really can't do his job here. Perfect

I kill the mass dampener. I think a Juror has one of those, at any rate that component gets the ax on a lot of my ships. Hmmmm... How come? I thought that thing somehow gave you more space for components. (Is my level(1) Noob showing again?). If it isn't needed, with the Juror Class small mass, any extra space I can get is great!

Can you send in the save? Cory Trese Sure. I've never sent one before. How do I do it? It would be a good time to learn now that I'm really buckling down. As a phase 1 goal I'm going to fight every opportunity that presents itself.

It's not chatty. But your doctor was able to heal people a lot while you were flying around between planets (or possibly on landfall, I am not sure abnout that) more than if you, like I did once, decide to toss that component from your ship's inventory to make room for a prison cell. I think if you have no doctors points in the pool it does nothing, but I am not sure about that. If you need room for a prison cell, I reccommend you toss something else. Excellent logic per usual. The first thing I do when starting a game is to promote one of my level(3) officers and give him/her 2 or 3 ranks in doctor. And I can see the saves scrolling on the status block even on ships without the Medical Chamber, which lead to my foggy 3:00 a.m. confusion about the Medical Chamber. One thing for sure the Juror Class is built for fast assault, it even has a special boarding unit (don't know if that is working yet), and it stands to reason with such a small crew healing would be a top priority. It's got engine speed(25) nothing but a scout can out run it. Great advice, I couldn't take the missions giving an ambassador a joy ride across half the quadrants. They pay well. So maybe I'll rip it out and put in a luxury cabin if possible. Thanks buddy +1 K

Yes you should have gone back to space. I have had this happen to me, too, and it's wrong. When you fought the second time, did you fight the same guys you did the first time? Or did you fight your own crew, yourself even? Or just some other guys? The second we hope is a fixed in 1.0.25 bug, but you know how that goes ... I fought different guys with different HP (not my own crew glory be they were already shot up from the first boarding )

I'm flying a Juror class equipped with a Medical Chamber, I have a level 4 doctor on board. Really got pasted during my first ship combat. If the medical chamber is implemented, I didn't see any messages of its effects?

I destroyed my first Zeno ship. I chose to salvage made $1,000. Why would I get a "Rep -2 message". The whole damn galaxy ought to be thrilled I took out a zeno, there should be a small amount of positive rep. Nobody should care what I do with their dead carcasses. I should be able to do anything to them without penalty.

3:21 a.m. PST error report sent Windows 10 v 1.0.25 sequence of events 1) Boarded enemy ship won the battle 2) Received message that I could leave, sabotage, or decimate enemy ship 3) I chose leave 4) Display returned to battle screen showing I was still boarding. I was afraid to retreat because I thought I would be fired on. 5) Fired all my close range weapons and boarded again 6) Won the battle, when the last enemy died ST2 crashed to desktop
What is supposed to have happened the first time I selected the leave order? Shouldn't I have returned to space?

Ship Components: Starting Defaults ?When starting a new template. The first time I go to the Starport. The first time I click on the Upgrade Components. Is the list displayed all the components I currently have installed? For example: I have a brand new Guardian Interceptor, I didn't expect to see a Luxury Cabin in the list. This is the list that appeared the first time I clicked on Upgrade Components button: List for ship type Guardian Interceptor 3 x Officer Cabins | 1 x Hellfire Torpedo (level 1) | 1 x Mass 6000 Void Engine | 1 x Luxury Cabin | 1 x Starshot Lance Array (level 2) | 1 x Deflector Array | 1 x Barracks 5 | 1 x MK-Alpha Torpedo (level 2) | 1 x Sensor Array | 1 x Weapons Locker A1 | 2 x Light Railguns | 1 x Starshot Lance Array (level 1) | 1 x Capital Bridge | 1 x Valiant Auto-cannon (level 1) | 1 x Mass Dampener (level 2) | 2 x Cargo Hold |
| 1 x Nav Assist Module |
This has probably been covered elsewhere, after searching, no luck. I want to easily find it again later. It's been so long since I played ST1 I'm now a Level(1) Noob. P.S. Do I need to purchase 2 more officer cabins? One for the 4th officer and one for the captain?

This is my first time playing with a Military Officer. When playing explorer I thought I saw a retired contact that could help with recruiting the best fighters? I don't remember the exact name of the contact, and hope somebody can straighten me out. These are the starting contacts I have available on my new template.
Smuggler, Merchant, Starport Mechanic, Spice Trader, Prince, Ex-Bounty Hunter, Retired Explorer, Fixer, Politician, Weapons Dealer, Intelligence officer.
Was there a Warrant Officer contact?

xdesperado Good points. Mutiny reflects underlying problems finally come to a head. What do you think about fighting it out with your own crew and losing control of the armory? The same screen is used for regular fights, boarding etc. Mutineers get the weapons locker. If an officer is randomly selected he or she gets to use their combat buffs, and traits. I think it would be another fun form of combat
