Interesting Mutiny Scenario?
Crew Mutiny. Mutineers seize the armory/weapons locker. Then the game lets the Captain choose his fighters first.
Next AI picks 4 random fighters from the crew. Having seized the weapons locker they get the full benefits in armor and weapons the locker provides. Captain's fighters use armor and weapons one below the current level of the weapons locker.
Next combat screen, Captain fights it out against the Mutineers. If Captain succeeds: Until he reaches the next Starport the following effects are applied. 1) He regains full control of the weapons Locker. 2) Wounded Mutineers remain on board with negative morale effects on the rest of the ship. 3) Increases likely internal damage from sabotage 4) Dead Mutineers; Can reduce ship effectiveness if pilots etc. become understaffed you'll end up using all weak dice if you encounter negative situations before reaching a Starport.
Once the Captain reaches the next Starport: 1) The wounded Mutineers are automatically removed. 2) Spicing up the crew will be a little expensive this time. 3) Random damage from sabotage will need to be repaired. 4) Recruit replacements
Captains better pay attention and take possible mutiny very seriously. What do you folks think about this?

Yep! We're working on some way to make it more clear. bobc has suggested a !! highlight on the crew list, which could help. Every level, you're going to either gain a new Job Rank or a New Talent. Crew automatically spend their Job Rank on their only Job. So, in this case, two crew gained Job Ranks and spent them on their Jobs. That leaves you with no follow up action. If they were officers, you'd get to spend their job ranks. Next level, they might gain Talents. Then you'll be back in the driver's seat with action again. That's what I thought was going on. Thanks for the confirmation.

I'm a little confused. Upon Landing I went to the spice hall and paid off the crew. Here I went to the Status screen and selected Crew. Next I selected the leveling filter. Does this mean two of the crew gained levels but simply had not reached a threshold to get another talent or skill?

You probably already have this on your to-do list. Could an auto center toggle button be added to the quadrant map. Just a button with a ship in it or something.
Maybe I'm using my mouse to drag around the Rhein-Rhur Quadrant to study the planets on the map map at various zoom levels. Damn! Where did I leave my ship?
When auto navigating to a location, or when the ship is in flight could the same button be used to center the view on the ship as it moves? This really helps to keep track of it at different zoom levels.
I find when the ship starts moving out of my view, there is a ship encounter and I don't know where I am just before it happened.

On Netflix, I've recently watched a Japanese movie called "Kagemusha", I've heard of Kurosawa, but this is the first time I've seen one of his films. I thought it was pretty good. Then you just gotta watch his "Seven Samurai"! (famous western Magnificent 7 Yul Brenner patterned on it)

Forbidden Planet is a scifi classic, really great scifi with a 50's feel. You should enjoy that. My cousins who are in there 20's love Firefly. I watched a couple of episodes and wasn't so impressed. Then again I'm a bit hard to please and/or may have been grumps. May give it another try sometime. My biggest disappointment was getting Babylon 5 to watch with my sons. We tried several episodes of the first season but couldn't get into it. Forbidden Planet excellent movie never dims with age. Another top sci-fi movie "Robinson Crusoe on Mars". I actually bought the remastered DVD. Another movie I enjoyed enough to watch twice is "Europa Report" 1 of my Top 7 picks? "Pulp Fiction" of course. "Bring out the Gimp".

I think s/Authority Figure/Reveres Authority/ as well unless you like 'Sycophantic Toady' even better, of course. Updated. How about "Brown Nose" similar to mental form of "Acid Burn" ?

Recently I promoted a crew dog to an officer, Making him the Chief Mechanic. However he appears in the same crew display location as before promotion. (about middle of the crew list)
The Crew Filter display is terrific! I was wondering if you could add "Officers" to the filter drop down selection list?

Investigating morale loss and crew desertions made me aware of a 'Brute' (negative only) trait for days, and days, and days of testing, maybe 30 dead or abandoned due to bankruptcy captains --- before I saw the trait revealed in a single crew. I thought to myself, are some of these people just contributing to the bad morale of others? The ones who themselves needed lots of trips to the spice merchant I watched carefully, thinking they might be to blame. And then, one day, one of the crew members I was watching **POP** revealed the brute trait. Andrew Trese, you miserable bastard! was my first thought. This has your fingers all over it!! Played spy for a long while, so I could get traits revealed easier, so I could find out what they were .... not knowing that a wiki reveal was coming. grävling Excellent clue thanks! I've been wondering why the same crew member wants to be spiced again after I already did it once. Maybe a hidden trait for a malcontent. "Listen Mister you better get happy or report immediately to the airlock!"

I think it would help avoid confusion and possible bug reports to have all of the filters in the Sell interface turned off by default, that cargo that is illegal is still visible, and is labeled as such. There were a couple times where I confused hidden, illegal cargo for being hidden by the bug that grävling reported, rather than being hidden by a filter. Thanks for the feedback. We'll look at it, but I'd love to avoid different filter rules between the three tables which just means a lot more clicking. fallen I agree, hope it doesn't change

fallenAre unrevealed crew and officer traits active? The effect is always present the Captain is just not aware of it, or does it only activate after the crew member/officer reveals it? For example if a crew member had the hidden "Dead Aim" trait that provides a +15% Critical, boy would I feel dumb if I never developed him for combat talents.

While studying the awesome wiki ST2 Traits Index that fallen put together for all of us. I got curious about what are the general traits you could expect from a particular type of crew member. I might not have taken a second look at having a Veteran on board, the more the better right? Look closely at the likely traits a Veteran has and you see just how dangerous the quadrants are. Perhaps you have a crew member with excellent stats for a fighter, then one day his hidden trait is revealed, he has a Death Wish! (Hope it's not an officer). A Pirate would do well to have a few Savages aboard. Empaths almost always have a positive effect on the Captain and crew. There are probably an error or two in the table, I put it together as a quick self reference that I could print, and have at my desk. I thought it might be worth sharing. N/I = Not Implemented. v 1.0.25 Windows 10 I seem to be having trouble creating a new map. I created 2 different templates to make sure the results were the same. I created a map of 17 quadrants and 6 factions. (There is no separate save button.) Then I hit the back button. When choosing the map the only one available to select is Map#1 with 10 quadrants 6 factions.
