Are you in the E4 holding pen, or waiting outside?
What level is your group?

Slowly crawling my way in. Fully expect to be 34, or with any luck 35.

What battle should I avoid if I don't want to end up in the holding pen? The last tower in the city of the dead?

krakun - yep, that's the one. Entering the final tower is a point of no return (for just a little longer).

My only group in the pen is all 34 except for Kyera who is 33. But that group made it in before the Fang and Storm Brother's quests so later groups will be much higher. My melee group is 5-6 levels into the COD and having completed both side quests is at level 34 already. So they will be 36-37 maybe by the end. I'm not really playing them much right now though so who knows when they'll hit the trap. Maybe if there was something beyond it, they would be more excited about pressing on!

Thanks to everyone providing data points. Specifically, we are trying to understand the range -- so hearing from 29-36 is really valuable. Please keep providing data. My latest group to pass through there came in at 30.

In the holding pen;
Before Fang and Storm brothers Sub quests Team Crimson rain. Vraes and Kyera ended at level 34, Selen and Vincent 33.
After new Sub quests Team Holy Rollers. Vraes, Kyera and Vincent ended at level 38, Selen ended at level 39.

John Robinson - wow, new records Thanks, that's great -- range now 29-39. That was the most fun run I've had so far. I know some of the battles seemed like they took forever but I like to think upside down. Every monster you kill is a gift of walking XP. Cutting down the total number of monsters in those particular battles might be a good idea, However keeping or even raising the number of monsters overall helps us in the end. Maybe spreading them out? Anyways you guys are great I'm having a blast, and level 39 allowed me to develop Selen further than ever before. Really good to see what happens when she got Quicksilver Defense up to 6. Thanks again keep the walking horrors coming!

I only have one group in the holding pen and everyone (V, S, Kj, Ky) is all level 35 (they all leveled up right before going in). They're also one of the early explorers of the holding pen - i.e., they went in before Fang and the Storm Brothers came out.

Just put another group in the pen. They are all level 32. I did the Fang and Storm Brothers quests but didn't complete everything. Doesn't change the range but hopefully another data point helps!

Level 36 but it trapped me in the holding pen before I could do the fang subquest or go collect the flowers for the Storm Bastion.
I take it I'm stuck here now until Ep4, I can't do those tasks now whilst waiting on Ep4?
I didn't realise entering the final tower would immediately trigger the final battle. I was going to kill "the wraith" and then go do the other tasks.
That was a fun challenging last scenario. Would have been easier for me with the party switched around.
