I'm enjoying the game, thanks TBs.
The diplomatic ability to end a Spy Battle is almost at the end of the top arm of the Planetary Construction branch of the tech tree.
Is there anything one can do before researching that to end the it?
Also, what are the consequences? The library doesn't provide a definition.

You can avoid it by keeping EP generation balanced, by encouraging long duration Trade Routes.
Second thread today mentioning issues with Spy Battles management. I'll see if there is something we can add to the Advisor beyond what she knows about them alread.

Or play with the Rychart syndicate. Their special treaty ends spy wars.

Its a +20% mait costs (ouch) +2RP/Colony
Unless you have Syndicate Rychart or are in the mid-late game with enough economy that its not crippling you have to just ride it out.
Best option for all negative politics is to try to avoid them by keeping positive politics in the treaty slots as much as possible. If I can spare the credits I always subsidize techs like trade summit to try and keep trade routes up

I've been encouraging good relations with Trade Summit or Trade Alliance. Balancing EP between factions.... that's new to me. Cory Trese, This is my third game and i haven't used the Advisor since the tutorial. If accessing the advisor for advice on politics isn't already part of the tutorial, maybe it should be. Though, to be honest, that would be easy to forget with all the details to remember. It would be cool if the Advisor popped up when political conflicts emerged during the first few games... maybe that could be a setting, that would stay on until the player turned it off. CdrPlatypus, what type of cost was that? Also, where did you get that info?

Cory Trese another thing sorely in need of in game information update is radiation. It is the most obscured game mechanic at this point

Cory Trese another thing sorely in need of in game information update is radiation. It is the most obscured game mechanic at this point I'm aware, it is a popular topic over e-mail. I do what I can.

I searched for Spy Battle in the thread topic and missed the other thread. It provides a bit more information about Spy Battles for the interested reader and can be found here: startradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/11265/xeno-arch-enemyI definitely need to find info on radiation, I've basically ignored that and tend to put vary few points into shielding, which I'm beginning to suspect is the wrong way to go.
