O.k., I've been ignoring radiation and my ship designs generally have 0 Shielding.
I'd love general info on Radiation, links to info on radiation, and/or answers to these questions.
Do Xeno ships cause radiation damage at this point? If so, which type/when? Is it only Xeno gunships?
Is it worth using shielding on your ship designs?
Any other comments on radiation much appreciated.

Radiation is extra damage that bypasses armor. I have heard Cory say that it boost Crit Chance, and Shielding is the only way to reduce Radiation Damage. I know the Nyktos love to use Radiation weaponry, but I'm not too sure about the others.

fallen, if you want to dump rough drafts of descriptions here, I'm sure I and others would be happy to edit. Is there some indicator that tells you when you are taking radiation damage?

tenbsmith - no, there is no indicator of how damage is split between Radiation and normal at this time.

fallen this sorely needs to be added to the game. I would like to see mob description s like in HOS when you click on a ship does x-y dmg, does x-y special dmg, has about x hull remaining
