P2 (v0.0.15): Counter-attack costs AP

I tried doing a search but didn't see anything similar:

My Captain used Slash 2 on a Xeno for 2AP.  The Xeno counter-attacked, then my Captain counter-attacked and it cost me another 2AP.  Is this correct?  I'm pretty sure I didn't click Slash again.
