When I first started finding these shield in the CoD, I am sure that I occasionally received some message when the shield blocked a ranged attack. But I haven't seen these messages lately, and Vraes has been wearing one for a long time. (No phalanx shield, if you're asking).
Can you check that these work?

Any time an autoblock is rolled for any character, it plays the miss animation and also fires the Phalanx Shield animation.

I did find a bug with this, related to combining Phalanx Shield + Auto-block shields. The greater of the two was being used, they were not being summed.
Fixed for next.

Whoops. I was feeling like Vraes catching 2 out of 3 arrows while it should be at least every other one.

We will see if it has a major negative impact. All the balance sims ran with it taking the greater of the two and everything shook out great.
Makes the game easier with some builds, but doesn't disadvantage anyone in particular so I support this rules change.
