Will the doors unlock after a certain point in my progression? Do I need to beat some bosses in this part to open them now that they are locked?
It said I was ready for the final tower, but the map shows a tower I haven't been in besides the final one. I freaked when the doors locked behind me as I was on my way to buy spirit potions. I had 2 or 3 left when I ended up in that room. Thankfully I hit hard enough with non sp attacks with a couple of my team!

Hi gemini, How many towers did you enter? Did you defeat the Lord in each of them (a big battle deep in the tower)? Did you join the koda or Braeys side? Normally red doors in the city of the dead indicate you need to go into a tower and defeat a Lord.

It was very odd because I had already defeated the Lords in the towers and the final tower opened up. I had not explored all the city of dead yet, so I wanted to do that before going into the final tower.
I was able to find a route to go back the long way through the city of dead and when I walked back in from the east into wheel road west all the doors were unlocked. I had done nothing more than wander around in a circle until I was right back in Wheel Road West.
I went under Braeys Banner. Since this resolved on it's own it seems that I caused the issue. It is most likely user error, and I would love an achievement to be granted to me saying, "You are doing it incorrectly. Please do not try to game any further."

gemini - if you are in the East Wheel Road near the first tower you conquer, and you go directly west, this opens the red-locked door behind you. If you instead go north and circle the entire Wheel Road, that door is not unlocked. It makes sense and I could see that we could try to fix it, but it's a pretty rare condition ...

Yes, I had figured it out after going in a circle and the doors being unlocked again. When I heard the click noise and saw red doors I woke my husband up by using an expletive a bit louder than intended. This game still impresses me with the amount there is to do, so I don't mind if I get an occasional hiccup while playing. Trying to explore seems to be what causes me to have an issue, but I tend to do things out of order. If I wasn't so obsessed with finding hidden doors and loot I would have far less problems of my own creation. I wanted to make sure to state that I had already killed the boss in all the towers but the final one when this happened. I went into all but the final tower before exploring all over. As I said, I tend to do it the opposite of logical order.

gemini, with that characteristic, you'd have high value as a software tester. Have you tried it in the past?

gemini, with that characteristic, you'd have high value as a software tester. Have you tried it in the past? Do you mean beta testing? I have done beta testing for a few games and programs over the years. I mostly do it for things I am interested in using or trying.

Also called "Software Quality Assurance" No, I had not ever considered it before. It is probably rather interesting. My medical issues would prevent me from being able to do it because no one wants an employee who can and will fall asleep off and on through trying out games or software. Falling asleep is most likely one of the reasons I end up playing games slightly backwards. I forget my intended direction. I take far longer to play than most players, but I never get bored because I have so many stops between play times.

Sounds a bit like me... -Holds up hobo sign-up "Will play test for food - flexible hours a must." :-) Seriously, I game and web surf between minor chores cause my body and brain don't hold out for more.
