First want to thank Cory Trese and fallen for creating what looks like will be their best game yet, your doing great guys. With that said was wondering if you had plans to try doing say a regular weekly update during Alpha or if it is going to be more fluid with updated versions getting released when you felt enough content had been changed/bugs squashed to warrant the effort of creating said version update? Again loving the game so far just impatient to see some of those fixed for next things actually done so we can swamp you with a bunch of new issues

xdesperado - it will be very fluid, going back and forth between small, quick releases (probably one soon here) to fix bugs and add new iOS players, or longer stretches where we are doing major development to wrap up systems for Phase 2. Thank you -- I am glad it already looks like our best game That's a huge vote of confidence, considering.

What we will try to do is keep everyone informed about our plans.
Right now, we're probably going to be doing a few days of rapid fire updates to get some of the big issues and platform support problems nailed down.

100% agreed with xdesperado, ST2 has blown my expectations out of the water. That's saying a lot, cause I am an exec and got to see it take shape AND we are only in phase 1. I find myself day dreaming about running one more load of clothes or trying to find the perfect milk run.
The updates and things will definitely be a ton of fun, so I'm glad to hear that you are planning on keeping us informed.

It's rough right now, but this game is going to be one hell of a gem once it's polished up. Long live and FREE THE TB's!

Cory Trese fallen Can't post in updates forum so asking here. When we download new version do we unzip to same location and it will overwrite old version of files or is it treated as a whole seperate thing and we basically delete previous version and start fresh?

I just extract the new files into their own folder and it found the game info from the first one ok it seems. Already sent a few crash reports too

in this case you just download the new version. you'll have another folder, if I installed on the E: drive it would look like this.
E:\StarTraders2-v1.0.15\ E:\StarTraders2-v1.0.17\
My saved games are stored here:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\StarTraders2\
You can have both versions, but I would recommend deleting 15
We include the version numbers in the folder name, so you can be sure you're using latest.
Saved games, templates, maps are automatically upgrade within each phase of the alpha. No need to start over, but that will be required in the future.

I'm looking at the crash reports. Trying to puzzle out if they are serious enough I should stop doing deployments.
Any clues???

Oh well. Going ahead anyway. Maybe missions will be broken. If so, I'll figure it out and do a patch tomorrow.
At least we'll get some confirmation for the iOS and Mac OS folks that something is working.

Sorry, was trying to figure things out. Started a new game and haven't had any trouble so far. It was just the old game that's crashing.
