Archaeologist: +5% chance of discovering Xeno Artifacts
Miner: +10% resource collection when Harvesting in Wild Zones
Gone Native: +10% chance of leaving crew during Exploration of Wild Zones
Chef: +5% boost to Crew Morale when landing on Farming planets
Prankster: -10% Crew Morale in Deep Space -or- 5% chance this crewman will die in Deep Space (he'll upset someone with a temper)

I really like those Chenrazee. Especially Chef. However, iirc there's a 0% chance of leaving crew in Wild Zones so that one doesn't make quite as much sense.

Ah, fair enough. It's good to know where the boundaries lie.

Inner Strength: Overcoming Combat Nerves through a wellspring of inner power, gains +20% All Accuracy, +20% Parry, +20% Dodge (is only possible if "Combat Nerves" is already learned and one free trait slot remains.)

Medicine Seeker: Steals a small amount of medicine from grav medical facilities while treating your crew, Quickness % of the time.
(Steals 1 unit of medical supplies whenever you spend time at a doctor's clinic if a Quickness % roll is passed. Only applies if there is spare room in your hull. Should probably have a 1 week cooldown or something though.)

More suggestions for Pirate Captain-only traits, to replace Dead Aim. Dreadful Presence Blockaded enemies start combat with 10% lower Morale (or Crew Panic). Only applies to ships encountered via Blockade card game. Possibly could limit this effect to Merchant/Smuggler/Explorer opponents only.
Plan B/Escape Route/"It's a trap!"/Pick Your Battles
To live long and prosper (off the hard work of others), a successful pirate knows which battles to avoid.
+5 Escape against Military and Bounty Hunter ships. Maybe Zealots too? Actually, this might be a good Captain-only trait for Smuggler too.

Thanks to everyone for continuing to post awesome ideas! As seen, a few releases back we farmed 10 of these into the game. So, keep it up because the best / workable ones will eventually get picked up

Armor Fanatic: Inserts thin layers of [metal name here] into outfit. Soaks 2-4 extra damage in crew combat. (Note: works like Fortitude soak in that it isn't impacted by penetrating hits)
Artistic: Impresses Crew with artwork at spice halls, giving 8-12 morale bonus to a single crew member when spicing with them 20% of the time.
Cowed: Loses an additional 3-5 morale when surrendering to any ship. -1 Charisma
Practical: Never loses morale when surrendering to a ship. +2 Wisdom
Hale: +4 Fortitude, +15% Bleeding Resist
Testy: Loses triple morale when traveling without water-fuel
Hyperwarp Fascination: Gains 3-5 morale every time your ship warps.
Brutal: Successful attacks have a 5% chance to cause 25% stun for 1 turn. +1 Strength

drspendlove, "Hyperwarp Fascination" is already in the game. I think it is called "Traveller".

I like the Cowed and Practical (Pragmatic sounds more appropriate) trait ideas. :-)

I like the Cowed and Practical (Pragmatic sounds more appropriate) trait ideas. :-) Yes they sound like good mutations as people react to circumstance.
