So I drew a Level 3 Access Black Market, originally aiming to sell some Permit-required cargo, but everything I had was Demand Grade F on this settlement. So I changed goals and wanted to buy some things instead. I sold off some Clothing and Basic Meds at minor loss to free up some space, then encountered some issues. 1. I saw Gas Processors and wanted to buy some. I dragged the Quantity bar all the way to the right, I think 9 were available. After purchase, Gas Processors were still listed (not Demand Grade F). Status screen (at the bottom of this post) shows I only bought 3 units, even though I had enough credits and room for more of them. I was not able to purchase more (shows Quantity zero, like below). 2. Many cargo types are shown even if it is not available (or they are available, but Quantity is zero for some reason). 3. Since I couldn't buy anything else worthwhile, I wanted to buy back the Clothing and Basic Meds I sold to them. Both showed the original quantity I sold them available. I drag bar all the way to the right and Purchase, but can only buy 1 unit. When I try again, it says Quantity zero like above. Shows 6 units available, I have enough credits and space. Toast notification indicating 1 unit purchased. Final cargo status:

Sooo... were these bugs? Has any been fixed?
Not starting another Smuggler until I know more...

Yep, still in development. The basic legality flip isn't in place.

Yep, still in development. The basic legality flip isn't in place. Questions: Once fully implemented, will Black Markets have the same Supply & Demand ratings as the Exchange for each cargo type? Example 1 — Legality 10 Farming world — will that Black Market only want things that a regular Farming world would want (e.g. Pesticides, which are illegal)? Or would they buy anything, like Personal Weapons? Example 2 — Legality 10 Farming world — would there be Raw Spice (Legality 6 cargo) for sale at the Black Market? Example 3 — Legality 5 Farming world — if only 20 units of Raw Spice are available for legal purchase by TP1+ holders at the Exchange, will I be able to buy more than 20 units of Raw Spice at the Black Market? I am inferring this since Cory previous said only certain quota are earmarked for selling to Star Traders, and the settlement actually has more stock for local sale only. It's fine it's too early to discuss this.

When fully implemented, the demand in a Black Market will be tied to the world type.
