As a parallel to the More Trait Suggestions thread, I’m starting one for Job Suggestions as a fun creative outlet. Blade DancerHighly skilled with short blades and throwing knives, she is a sight to behold, both on and off the battlefield. Don’t let her showy demeanor fool you — her blades are as deadly as they are entertaining.Primary Skills: Blades, Evasion Secondary Skills: Intimidate, Stealth Key Attribute: Charisma Traits: Acrobatic, Magnetic Weapons: Short blade on main hand, set of throwing knives on offhand Talents- Distracting Flourish — Crew combat debuff on closest two enemies, causes -33% Dodge -33% Parry for 1 Turn
- Fan of Blades — Crew combat throwing knife attack on all enemies at -20% Accuracy
- Hamstring — Crew combat attack at +20% Dmg, causes Pins Target
- Arterial Slash — Crew combat attack causes (2×Blades) Bleed Dmg for 3 Turns
- Backstab — Crew combat attack against an enemy already hit this round; +20% Accuracy +(10+Stealth)% Crit
- Breach Armor — Crew combat attack at +20% Crit, ignores armor
- Sharp Prodding — Ship combat; removes Crew Crippling conditions, +(Intimidate) Morale to 10 Crew
- Victory Dance — post-Ship combat; on successful capture of enemy ship; +(Blades) Morale to 10 Crew
- In-flight Entertainment — (10+Charisma)% chance to get better recruits; enslaved crew start with higher Morale
- Welcome Distraction — buffers 50% Morale loss on a failed skill check
- Parlour Trick — adds a new option for Missions that require a distraction (Charisma check)

Yes, the idea was based off of an obscure memory of Cory mentioning Blade Dancers as a form of Spice Hall entertainment in STRPG.
This is just a combat hybrid of that vision. Kind of like a D&D Bard.

I actually think this is a pretty sweet suggestion. We've definitely built a foundation where the jobs system can be expanded for a reasonable development cost.
We've got more jobs that we need to turn on and finish testing, but after release we will certainly be looking to our backers and players for ideas to further expand the job system.

Glad you all like it! It was actually a lot of fun to brainstorm these concepts.
Hope other players will come up with some cool ideas too! I'd love to hear about jobs maybe based off the ST novels.

I have an idea for another faction-exclusive job. The inspiration for this comes from the mention of some torture technique called "Zenrin mind needling" in one of the story missions. "Mind Needling" sounds like a technique that comes from an advanced understanding of neurology. - Mind Games -- Prevents a crewman from abandoning ship when at low morale, but causes that crewman to roll a (50 - Resilience)% chance to develop a negative trait
Rank 5 - Instill Fear -- Intimidate test auto-pass
- Analyze Potential -- Guarantees success for positive trait mutation rolls (long cooldown)
Rank 8 - Mental Monitor -- (Tactics+Wisdom)% chance to prevent a crewman from acquiring a negative trait
- Conditioned to Learn -- Whenever the crew gets an XP reward of 150 or more, the XP gain is Trippled
