I've developed quite a bankroll and I'm trying to figure out how to move to a new ship so that I can keep taking missions. All of the missions I'm getting require passenger space and there is no way to turn an office cabin into a passenger cabin so I am at a loss with how to move forward.

Taking or buying a new ship isn't available yet.
By the way, when you go to the Ship Component list and want to upgrade, you can choose any small component, click the TYPE button at the bottom, and it will show all small components. For example, you could replace a small Weapon that you don't want with a Passenger Cabin.

I don't have a "Type" button. I'm on IOS. I've looked on both the upgrade screen and on the deck screen in status, is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Found it. Have to click on an individual component first. This is really not intuitive and a bit confusing.
Can't replace an officer cabin with a passenger cabin... Passenger is twice the mass. I am not liking being stuck with this hull.

Sorry, I should be more specific.
Go to Starport Go to the list of currently installed ship components Click on a small component that you don't want The screen will show all available small components of the same type (e.g. weapons, cabins, boosters) Click on the Type button at the bottom The screen will show all available small components
By the way, the small/medium/large compartments each have different lists, so you can take a look and see what you want before going to buy right away.

If mass is the issue, then you will need to switch 2 components. One to a Mass Modulator (or Dampener) that will help lower your mass load, then another component to Passenger Cabin.
It takes a bit of juggling to get what you want.
And yes, the interface isn't great. I think the Devs said it will get a facelift during a future UI update.

We're also working on buying / capturing ships, but not there yet.
