Current Missions: Change default view from GLOBAL to LOCAL? Contacts already does this. It is quick and easy to find them in the quadrant you are in. Changing Current Missions default view will do the same, and save mouse clicks.

I'd like this too.

I deleted all the posts about image links -- now that it is working.
Interesting request.
Can we expand this -- what types of filters do you want on missions?

I don't think he was asking for any new filters, just a change in how the one we already have works. What he wants, is when you hit the Mission button, you get Local Missions. Then you can tap the radio button for Global (what his image has on the very bottom) if you really want to see all of them. Currently we have the reverse. When you tap the Missions button, you see the Global ones -- so all of them -- and if you are more interested in local ones you need to tap that Local radio button.

I was talking about the two lighted buttons at the bottom. Currently: When entering a quadrant the Global light is turned on by default showing your entire list of missions. Request: When entering a quadrant I would like to see the Local light turned on by default, showing only the Local missions (if there are any). If I was going to ask for a filter? In the Global view, I think simple alphabetical order by mission type is fine with me. For example in the the screen clip; The Agent Execution would appear above the Disputed Judgements. Baron Escort would appear below Agent Execution. If I rubbed the magic lamp and the genie granted me a wish. Missions in Alphabetical order by Quadrant name. Quadrant name would be added to the mission display boxes. Most of the time I don't care about the faction because I would not have taken the mission unless it was to my benefit. (I do like having the option to sort by faction flag).

And I don't want any of these things, except the ability to sort by quadrant name. I particularly don't want alphabetical order, i.e. not only don't I find it useful, but I find it a bad order. (But I have no problems with letting people who find it useful get the feature, it just won't be me.)
But I want quadrant sorted list, not sorted alphabetically, but by the distance they are away from you in travel time.
I also want the ability to sort by 'who gave them to you' and 'how soon do they expire' and once the contacts get annoyed with you for being late, 'how long have they been expired' as well.
Sorting By 'who gave them to you' list sorted by faction would be interesting, but I think I would find Sorting by 'who gave them to you' those groups sorted by quadrant, sorted by how far away from me would be more interesting.

Sort by time remaining would be nice.
I kind of disagree with having Local missions display by default. The radio buttons at the button aren't super obvious. I'm sure some people will completely miss seeing it, then get confused about why some missions aren't showing up; or think they've finished everything already, then get confused why they can't take more missions.

Just 2 cents, but prefer global/sorted by remaining time for the default. Normally pull up the mission list to determine which ones I have to finish the most quickly. I haven't progressed far enough in the game to get a ton of active missions at the same time, so might not apply for the 'average' player

I am not sure why alphabetical would help. Could you explain how you would use that?
Out of the suggestions so far, I can see: - Sort by Distance - Sort by Time Remaining - Filter by Local / Global

I'm sure some people will completely miss seeing it, then get confused about why some missions aren't showing up; or think they've finished everything already, then get confused why they can't take more missions. Anybody who makes this mistake will learn it very quickly -- as soon as the 'missions in local quad' time expires, it will be 'I just took a mission, where did it go?' If we have filters, it will be even more obvious where it went, and there will be more things to frob. I think it will be more confusing to newcomers to not show the locals by default. They will try to do their list in order, some of them, not realising that you usually should do all the missions in this quad, before you go to the next one (or return with whatever somebody sent you for). Of course, with lots of new filters¸ all this may be moot.

Out of the suggestions so far, I can see: - Sort by Distance - Sort by Time Remaining - Filter by Local / Global I want sort by who gave it to you. Sometimes you are most interested in the missions you got from a certain person, that all pertain to a particular conflict, which you want to get done before the conflict expires. Sometimes you are trying to save a contact whose faction rep is slightly negative (or even slightly positive) but you do not wish dead.

Good points grävling. Oooh ooh, how about this. Have two sections, all showing at same time. Top section with a header is all Local Missions, then below that under it's own header, all remaining Global Missions. This should not interfere with the filters or sorting method.

We have to sort on a field, and a value. Alphabetically sorting on Contact's name seems useless. Can you clarify what you want to sort on?

I want 'Sort missions by the Name of the Contact who gave it to you'. I don't care about alphabetical. I just want a list, that shows all my missions grouped by who gave them to me. This isn't a feature I will be using a whole lot -- normally you want to do your missions based on when they expire, or how far away they are. But sometimes you really want to do all the missions from person X much more than the other ones, so then it would be nice to be able to sort on who gave you the mission.
