I rarely play Pirate... It's kind of annoying, honestly, how the ONLY template value that starts checked-off, is Experience, for Pirate. Now, understandable, everything else you do have to choose one, or more values. But with the 'Experience', why does it default? Perhaps like with ST1, where you could have the default captain name... You could have a default Captain Job? Or, just leave it needing to be chosen. Especially those times when I've been just playing the daylights out of a captain, and then update.. I forget to change, and end up with a profession I don't really want, making me go through all the steps another time.

Alex Fury - thanks for the feedback. I've taken a note on this, and if we can get to it, we'll address it at a later date. I'd consider it a low level polish RFE at this time.

Alex, just fyi, you can copy the template and change the profession, then save it as the one you had intended (when you started a game and realized you are a pirate). It's pretty cool to have this flexibility to templates. EDIT: I was expecting STAR TRADER to eventually become the default, but we don't have all of the shipbuilding thingies in place yet.

Is this computer only, because I can't think edit completed templates on Android.

Select a Template.
Hit "Copy Template" at the top.
This creates a copy of the template.
Make any changes you want.
Hit Save Template.
PC, mobile, potato.

Oh no. Works great on Android. Bring up your list of templates. I only have one, my Spy in the Heavy Lifter. Select a captain close to the one you want. I don't have any choice, and so select the only one I have. Note how the button on the top now reads 'copy template' and not 'new template'? Click on that button. Bingo. You now have an exact copy of what you selected. So you can say -- I want everything the same, but I don't want to be a Spy, I meant to be a Merchant! (or whatever) So edit that choice. And remember to save your template with a nicer name than 'Template 1'.

fallen was faster, but we both were doing this at the same time. Pictures take longer.

Officer Genious is right , you cannot edit templates. You can Launch, Copy or Create templates, and in the process of copying a template you can edit the selections, but you cannot take a template and edit the selections.

Just to be clear, there are no "PC only features" except UI features, like mouse hover.

Perhaps for clarity then the screen title could say "Launch, Copy/Edit, or Create Template"?

Perhaps for clarity then the screen title could say "Launch, Copy/Edit, or Create Template"? Maybe if we get a large number of reports of confusion. Right now, we're getting good data and feedback that it is working. We might make more adjustments later! thanks!

I think the hard bit is noticing that the button changes from 'new Template' to 'copy Template'. I wonder if we could make that more noticeable. A different colour perhaps? Or have two buttons, one of which is greyed-out and have the buttons flip depending on whether an existing template is selected or not?
