Captain: Built with Charisma(26) attribute. At level(10) Merchant(8) Doctor(2). Merchant trait: Charmer = +2 Charisma. Total Charisma =28.
At level(11) I added Military Officer(1). trait: Inspiring = +2 Charisma.
Total Charisma should now display 30 but displays 28 instead.
It did add the Military officer's skills.
Am I hitting a game limit?

What makes you think that when you add a job to a captain or an officer you _ever_ get the traits associated with a captain who started out life as this second (or third) job? Traits are things you get once, at character creation time, and you don't get any more. Even when trait mutation goes into the game, that will only mutate the traits you have, not give you new ones.

I guess the better way to ask. There are no primary / secondary jobs anymore. A captain can be anything you want within the 3 job limit. Skills stack so seems reasonable to me. I wanted to check with fallen if trait stacking is allowed now, or in a future release, or not at all. (I hit a limit with an attribute related problem that got fixed). grävling it's ok to ask a question without justifying it right?

Traits are not added when you get a new Job. I hope that helps.

grävling it's ok to ask a question without justifying it right? Certainly, but when the question comes out as 'how come I am not getting something I have never got before' people will be a bit puzzled.

Traits are assigned at character creation and recruit time.
There is a missing piece in the game of trait mutation which will add / change / remove traits during game play.
