I am rank 12 in the Javat Military. I recruit well. But nobody should be this good. No matter what the 3 hidden traits are. Indeed, I am going to give my existing merchant officer the chop over this; having discovered he is a Brute has made me less than pleased with him already. Though I suppose I should be happier he is an officer-brute and thus gets low morale less often.

Officer Genious -- But a 36 Charisma? Where do you get 10 (or more, 10 assumes she rolled a natural 26 to start) points of Charisma from in 3 traits when the max improvement is 3? I think the TBs are keeping secrets from us ....

I am not even certain I should make an officer out of somebody with twice as much charisma as I have. It's going to be his ship, and I will be the supercargo. Of course, since I am a Zealot, that will give me plenty of more time to brood over clan enemies.

Make him a commander and remember, you control the purse strings. And you can always stab him later as a zealot.

Indeed, I mostly just wonder what it is in the game that makes it spit out these exceptionally charismatic people, from time to time, out of spec for the best starting rolls + the most charismatic of traits. But since fallen and Cory Trese do not immediately hop around saying 'a bug! a bug! I will fix the bug!' I assume we will all find out some day about this. My bet is that these 'inhumanly charismatic' recruits really aren't human. In the meantime, they do indeed make great Marchants.

It's all driven by the types of worlds you are recruiting on and their stats.

Removed the arbitrary cap for Captains at 26 max Attribute during character creation. Old design, now gone.
