I don't understand this name. Where I come from 'legacy' mostly means 'this is obsolete but for various reasons we cannot replace or upgrade it' and sometimes means 'things you will be remembered for long after you are no longer around' (including, often, making us completely dependent on what we now call legacy software, which is the reason we cannot replace or upgrade it) but neither meaning seems to fit here.

Comes from No Legacy Between the Stars, and would denote by Google... an amount of money or property left to someone in a will. synonyms: bequest, inheritance, heritage, endowment, gift, patrimony, settlement, birthright; "a legacy from a great aunt"

I always assumed it meant the Explorer character was seeking to establish his/her own legacy, and that "legacy" here means "something that someone accomplished that significantly impacted people throughout history". In other words, the Explorer is driven to make discoveries on the planet that will be remembered for generations. Seeing the way fallen described "legacy", I think the actual intended meaning of the name "Legacy Seeker" is that the Explorer is seeking the legacy of past civilizations.

But all explorers do this. Not to mention non-explorers who simply find themselves in a wilderness. I'd expect a talent that replaces a risk with a reward card to be called 'Shalun rewards the Bold' or 'Experienced Digger' or 'Educated in Xenobiology' or something.

Maybe that's like "Foundations for a Legacy". I don't like this name though. We can do better.

I agree. How about "Civilization seeker", or something along those lines? Or even just "Artifiact seeker"?

Ohh, I like that one. "Treasures of a Civilization"? "Treasure Seeker"? Because let's face it, these Explorers don't care about learning as much as they care about the treasures.
