I started a game with this. Problem -- I cannot leave the quadrant and do missions for somebody else, because I don't know anybody outside of the quadrant. Going Trading won't be a good way to spend my time, as I don't have any trade permits. Hnaging around in the quadrant is just getting me badly injured, and I cannot afford the doctor bills. I gave up and started a new game.
Is there something I could have done but missed?
If not, then I think that making sure there is no radiation storm in a starter quad at game start is something that should be done, as it would be dreadful if this is your first experience of ST2.

This and not having a high danger rating in your starting zone for the same reason. Though I haven't gotten any recently over 7... |

Fixed the issue with the one starting zone that had danger 7.
I'll see what I can do about Rad Storms.

Thank you! And of course same with Xeno rumors. I still have nightmares of the one time I tried a high difficulty in ST original and ran into a Xeno before I touched my first planet. ;_;

Right now I love finding Xenos in my start quad. Great early money! |

New game, 1.2.19. I ran into a Xeno when going from my starting planet to the closest one with any contacts on it. YUM YUM YUM, but wasn't that not supposed to be happening any more?
