There was a Rumor that there was an Embargo at an Indie Refinery Planet. This worried me because I had just converted my cash to Power Generators which I intended to sell there at a big profit. I went to the place, and the rumour graphic was there. But I went to the exchange and was able to sell my Power Generators without any trouble.
I also wondered if Indie Planets could have embargos or if that is a Faction-only thing.

#3636 to fix, either to prevent embargos from hitting indie worlds or to implement them there.

I don't exactly understand. The rumor is that nearby planets have enacted a Faction embargo against that system to extract some type of concession, or as punishment for some violation. Trading there would be encouraged, but depending on conflicts and other factors, dangerous. I'm looking at #3636 and all the details in this thread and I don't see any issues yet. I'll keep looking for something to fix  |

I thought that if it was under embargo, I wouldn't be allowed to trade there. I traded there fine. If I made all the factions angry with me for trading there, it did not seem to cost me rep. I didn't get a message about it, nor did I look at the new (really cool, fallen) faction screen and think, hmm, why does everybody hate me now? I know why Rychart does, but everybody else? So as near as I can tell the embargo had no effect at all on me. |

"Trading there would be encouraged" by whom? By the planet being embargoed? Does having an embargo in place automatically increase the Demand Ratings (and hence Prices paid)? Regarding dangerous, I just realized that ST2 doesn't have any Landing ship encounters. I'm curious what other dangerous conditions could possibly apply here. |
