This is what I see when I look things up in Firefox. I dislike the side-by-side presentation of the job rank and the talents. There never is a case where I want to look at both these things simultaneously. I want a talent list that takes up the whole page, possibly with a reduced version of the icons, so that you can fit lots more of them on the page.

It is important to see the leveling table. The talent table would look allot better if the leveling table was displayed in a separate link, or at the bottom of the talent table. My first choice would be to display the leveling table at the end of the talent table. Why? because using the whole screen, very little scrolling is required to see it, and a separate link is not needed. The talent table will look more professional if it stretches across the screen. The current display looks like having too much furniture in a small room. grävling is right about it using too much screen real estate = more scrolling. The talent descriptions cells cause the whole table to look out of proportion, just too darn big. I am grateful to have all of this info at my fingertips. What a great implementation decision you and Cory made to use wiki. Anyhow, you know I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to tables.

Think this could be a browser thing? Using the standard internet browser on my tablet I get the Job Rank Skill Bonus table listed first, followed by the Talents table.

Its definitely a thing with the browser size. On smaller screens, there are multiple side bars and stuff starts to get crowded. In that case, the HTML we've setup has minimum widths for each element, and if they cannot be fulfilled, then this forces one of them completely below the other.

Ok, I tried a simpler format, putting the leveling table below Talents. It's a huge amount of scrolling for me and a ton of unused screen space. Up for comments or suggestions on how to improve. It would be really interesting to see what one of these pages might look like with some more narrative text beyond tables. startraders.gamepedia.com/Pilot

This looks muich better in firefox, especially since my adblocking software gets rid of all the ugly garbage in the right panel. I assume you are required to leave this space for the ads I don't see -- if not, that would be good to give back to the game.
But there is still way more whitespace than is needed. I'd like it, in a big browser window, if the icons were scaled down to 1/4th of their current size -- half as tall and half as wide. Then there wouldn't be all this whitespace surrounding the texts in the tables, so you could fit 3 times as many on a page. All the pilot talents, except for 'Devestating Approach' take 2 lines of text. 'Devestating Approach' is one word over. It would be good to give the width the icon no longer needs so it would be a two liner as well. (And 'Required Rank' could become just 'Rank' or 'Req. Rank' so that column would not need to be so wide, either -- more space for the description.
On the levelling side, so long as there is no plan to make it possible for users to compare, for instance 'Bounty Hunter' with 'Zealot' side-by-side which I think would be quite cool, but also a lot of work for a small gain, making it a better candidate for something to do after the release rather than before -- in browsers where there is a lot of room, I would present the information 3 up -- 1-10 beside 11-20 beside 21-30 . I'd have one line of text on the top that said:
The principal skill of Pilot is Pilot (Plt) while the secondary skill is Navigation (Nav).
Then you can use these abreviations in the Table, since all the whitespace we have now is to accomodate the header having big words like 'Navigation'. 'Pilot' is short enough we might not want to abbreviate it, but 'Navigation' is a prime candidate for shortening in the table.

Thanks for the feedback.
Definitely not going to make any abbreviations in the wiki. It's a form of hiding data that I don't think will serve us very well, nor do we want to write a text processor to create the Talent descriptions in multiple forms. Very error prone and a huge maintenance head-ache for years to come.
It is on my list to reduce padding around the images.

I want 'reduce the size of images' too.

You're right, allot of empty space. Resizing the icons by -50% will eliminate the wasted space and reduce the scrolling. Reducing icon display size now will help, when you add new talents to the list. Adding narrative text? You mean like adding some imaginative gut feel text for the character that uses the talent inside the description box? I like what you have done it looks more normal. Resizing icons will finish the job. But if you want to change it back I'm totally satisfied with that decision as well.

Back at home again, where I have big monitors, and things look a lot better. There is a whole lot less scrolling for me. One more thing -- when the talent description runs on for more than one line, it is clear that the text is being printed centred, line-by-line. I think it would read better if it were aligned to the left margin, line-by-line.
