Can you turn the brightness down? I'm finding them very hard to read, as in 'I can feel the eyestrain starting already'. The white pictures in the circles are way too bright for my tablet. And they may simply be too small, too.

I'd drop the little cyan circles, too. I'd rather just have the symbol, larger, and not glaring-white please. Not any sort of white, by preference.

I quite like the icons you made to label the bars for Economy, Starport etc. I don't think the new ones are anything near as pretty. If you made them in the same style, and coloured them differently, and then stuck them on some dark background -- for instance in the empty red box I made I think they would be a lot nicer. And then, as an added bonus, when you got to this screen: (this is with the brightness on the tablet turned almost off, and as you can see, it is still bright, by the way) But with different coloured icons, it wouldn't matter if they were hard to resolve on phones and tablets. All you would be looking for was the colour, and you wouldn't have to strain your eyes trying to decypher the symbol. I think this is related to 'what is your preferred zoom distance for playing ST2'? In order to decypher the icons I had to zoom out to read. I'd rather be playing at this zoom distance. Though of course, what you see here is more dependent on your browser -- this screenshot is a lot bigger than my phone when I show it on my nice large monitor.

Thanks for the feedback. We're getting a lot of positive responses to the new icons!

Sure, there is a lot to like about them. But the man who likes to code in orange ink on a black background isn't the ideal choice for evaluating designs for their eyestrain potential.
