Xeno hunting isn't a quick path to riches, any more.

The goal should be the same as with piracy -- defeat them with maximum remaining valuable components in the ship's manfiest.
Destroying the Engines is a sure victory, but if your intention is to Salvage, it will cost you big time.

Basically, the update now includes a sliding scale for salvage prices. The more of the ship that is left over, the more $$.

Destroying the Engines is a sure victory, but if your intention is to Salvage, it will cost you big time. So is Boarding the least destructive path to victory? --- Can there be more detailed descriptions on the "Victory in Battle, Captain!" screen about what the win condition was? e.g. surrender due to enemy morale loss, enemy captain death, engines destroyed, hull rupture

It includes exactly the suggestions you made.

Okay thanks! I guess I've just never seen them because I usually don't board.

There are none that are unique to boarding. The average player sees all of them normally in standard ship combat. We monitor that.

I usually do more to stay out of combat. But I recall with ST1, at close-range, you could target decks, engines, etc.. Can we still do that?
