I just Upgraded to the M5000 EX void engine ($650,000)
The hyperwarp EX upgrade is great. So what goodies did I just buy for myself with the M5000 EX ?
Thanks

I thought this was answered in another thread. The EX has a Hyperwarp Jump cost of 18 instead of 22.

I'm asking about the difference between the M5000 Void engine and the M5000 Void engine EX2.The tread you are thinking about is the Hyperwarp 5000 EX2Including a screen snap to clarify I'm asking about the Void Engine not the Hyperwarp.

M5000 Void - AP 8, Move AP 4, Speed 19, Agile 19, Map Fuel Cost 2, Combat Fuel Cost 13, Safety Rating 8 M5000 Void EX - AP 8, Move AP 4, Speed 18, Agile 20, Map Fuel Cost 2, Combat Fuel Cost 15, Safety Rating 8 Plus difference in soaks. There is a lot of balancing work to be done on engines. This information will get into the game soon. I won't type more of these into forum threads, it would eat all the hours needed to get them into the game

Thanks Guy At first glance it looks like I pick up a point of +1 Agility but lose a point of -1 Speed, and add +2 points of combat fuel. I think speed is more important than agility if you are trying to escape, so that's a little less appealing. But with more balancing coming I'm keeping the new engine. You're right I won't ask anymore component questions that is a waste of time, waiting for Wiki is just fine. Especially when you are already so incredibly busy, you can't go forward if I keep dragging you backwards. Definitely know how that feels.

Engines are just not very good right now. They're a testing pit and I will address them ASAP

As a component, a Ship Engine provides more crucial object properties than any other element (baring the ship hull baseline)
balancing them, and providing a variety sufficient for players to make meaningful decisions, is necessary for the game to succeed in terms of ship variety.
