What are your favorite Talents?
My most favorite Talent in the current version of the game is Engine Precision, because it gives me more Defence and gives me more RP to fire more weapons. It buffs both my offensive and defensive capabilities! Oddly, Cory doesn't use it though (according to what he said on the last Twitch stream around the time I left).

resistor - depending on my crew build, I do and don't use Engine Precision. The increased damage to your own ship components that it causes can be a real problem with some ship / crew builds. Treat Wounded and Unrivaled Patch are two of my must-have Talents for any combat-worthy build.

I've made an Explorer captain which gave me a reason to use Exo-scouts again, and I've discovered the Plas-Grenade Talent is totally awesome!
I expected it to only hit one target, but it hits both front-row enemies with +36 plasma damage! Really devastating after applying Aimed Focus and Backline Leader buffs.

resistor - yes, we need to find a way to make AoE vs. targeted clear in the dots system. I was thinking about a thin line above and below that would identify AoE. It is a great Talent -- boom! So is concuss grenade, but that means your Soldier has to be on the move.

Skip off the Void, hands down.
Such a flavorful talent that gives a tiny Smuggler ship like the Juror a surefire way to get away from Pirates.

Lol - that is a big favorite. Everyone is using it to avoid combat all the time basically? Are you seeing damage to your Hyperwarp Drives, or are you building out Nav-heavy teams to avoid that? How many Navs do you have onboard with the Talent? I am holding down my knee in the knee-jerk reaction to nerf the Talent Kidding. I'M KIDDING. No nerfing.

My teams get extra navigators, but I get engine damage anyway. But it costs less to fix that then to fix combat damage when I am not set up for combat.

It's a twap! P.s. I have no interest in wrecking this strategy, I use it, I love it. I'd like to understand exactly how you all are using it, so we can make sure its as fun as possible. grävling - thanks. How many copies of the Talent do you keep on hand?

Given the low number of talents (so far) to choose from, every navigator on board gets this talent. Such a valuable ace in the hole... I am with grävling, 3 for small ships, more for larger ones

There are times when I am in the middle of a mission and get attacked and cannot run, So I stand my ground and while I win the battle; we sustain so much damage that we are limping to our next objective. Of course, that's when everyone and their brother comes out of the woodwork to smack us when we're down. Or we win that first fight and the repair costs are so high, I just need to finish this mission to get everything back online. Regardless, this is when we get attacked the most. Yes, a retreat talent is absolutely needed at that point as we are limping around trying to gather the funds to keep on keeping on.
