So I have a good crew with lots of great talents for when we hit the spice hall. Problem is they all have such good morale that I never get a chance to spice.
Part of issue is mission steps/completions that take place over a spice plate apparently boost morale but don't give a chance for talents to fire.
Can that be changed so anything that puts you in spice hall allows talents to fire?
Also would be nice if you could pay for at least one round of spice every time you land regardless of morale.
I'm wanting to collect rumors and find new contacts, have the talents to do both but almost never get a chance to use them unless I've had a very bad encounter which is almost never once skip off the void becomes available.
Shouldn't have to hunt down and keep crew with negative morale traits just so I can utilize the rest of the crews talents on a routine basis.

Thanks for the feedback. There was another thread about this recently, and most likely the result will be to allow you to pay even if you don't need morale, which would give you talent access.

possible balance idea: spicing beyond limit causes penalties (temporary lowering of traits/skills); kinda like a hangover (-1 every trait/skill for a period of time) or what not.
just another late night thought...

I see where you're coming from Craig Rittenhouse, but there should at least be a 'safe medium' somewhere in there. Hell, people don't NEED to go to a bar to drink. And yes, too much and they'll get drunk and do dumb shit. BUT, should still be able to spice SOME to get contact, not only be able to do it if you need morale-boost. That was one thing in original ST. Had both spice and entertainment, and could keep going, even if technically not needed for a bit. Now there's a reason to do it. (talents)
