1. Check boxes for refuel, repair, heal, and spice. When you have enough money, you can check a box (or all four boxes) and it's all taken care off automatically as you land. Because, yes, after a while, doing the same maintenance ritual becomes incredibly tedious. [Something is in the work. See answer below.]
2. A check box to automatically say "Send a friendly salute and acknowledge our course and Faction allegencies" when it's an option, so that you don't have to go through the same dialogue again and again and again when you always make the same choice anyway. The same thing could be said about paying bribes: People who always do it will be happy to be able to make the process automatic, if their finances are sound enough. People like me would rather spend time on other things, such as agonizing on which talents to choose for each crew member (a process that has a check box and can be automated -- choice is good!).
3. A clear way to see which crew members need updating. [Already exists. See answer below.]
4. A record of where you left stuff, when you left stuff in stashes on different planets, with the possibility to auto-navigate there (as you can auto-navigate to contacts, I mean). [Already exists. See answer below.] 5. A "navigate there now" button for missions, as exists for contacts. [Will be in next release.]
6. The ability to see the map from a planet, for instance to see where your contacts are. Currently, you need to take off then land again. [Already exists ... to some extent. See answer below.]
7. The ability to choose the starting profession of your starting officer. [Something else is in the work. See answer below.]
8. The game remembering my last ordering choice (for instance, contacts by closest first). [Implemented!]
9. The ability to click and drag the A, B, C, D, E elements of a template you customize. It would work well with either a mouse or a touchscreen.

Yikes, the formatting is a little whacked on this one.
A "Navigate Now" button is in for Missions in the next release!
If you look at your crew list, select the "Filter" at the top and pick "Leveling". This will filter it down to only those who need levels. Then select one crew, open Talents/Jobs and then click next/next/next until you've looped the list. Super easy and fast! Since the + are in the top bar for Jobs/Talents, you can spot those who need different attention.
Go to Status > Cargo > Stashes -- really nice list of all the stashes and what is in them. Click on a Stash row to navigate there!

Ah, but that's where I'd prefer to see a chance to play mini games for those "tedious tasks". As an example, you can hit the simple button as you do now to refuel, or hit an interactive icon for it and it'll throw up situational cards for refueling. You stand a better chance to use your stats for growth and perhaps better fuel prices through negotiations related to cards and stats (plus any applicable bonuses). This could be implemented for each of the other tasks. I can see how this would take time to implement, but would certainly give us a great opportunity for more role playing.
Anyway, that's my rebuttal to your first point.
Let's discuss.
[[Edit: Further cards could be added in later updates in this fashion. Selected submissions would allow for community engagements. Sorry, I'm in a brainstorming FoM currently.

We recognize some tasks as important, repetitive maintenance. We have discussed a single report that would let you pay for all in one click. We haven't acted on adding it. Actions like Spicing may become more interactive, but actions like Refueling will not. If we add a million sub-interactions to things you need to do constantly, the entire game slows to a very bad pacing. Minus some of the clicks, the pacing is very nice right now.
We ARE hard at work reducing the total number of maintenance clicks required when landing on a zone.
Notably, all those UIs are alpha UIs and slotted for rebuilds, so hopefully that helps explain where we are at.

All right. I cleaned the list formatting (I gave up on using an automated list, they really work badly here), and marked the solved items as solved. I also added two items.

6. You can check out the Atlas from Status.
7. Not something we are going to add, though the starting jobs for officers are going to get changed a bit. Most likely, everyone will start with a Ship's Doctor all the time. You can go hire any officer you want as a way to change starting officer jobs.

Yeah, Doctors are so rare, currently, that's the first added job I give to my officers.

9. Politician as a contact for the Merchant template, since the missions offered by Politicians are often diplomatic in nature and so are ideal for a Captain whose primary skill is Negotiation.

I'll have a look, but all my "serious" builds use the same priority order: Attributes, Skills, Ship, Contacts, Experience. I might swap Ship for Contacts, but that's it. Each build calls for different Attributes, Skills, Ship, Contacts, and Job, so no two builds are actually similar, but at first glance they look as if they were and so would work poorly as templates. But sure, I can visit the thread and harshly criticize other people's proposed templates.

6. The ability to see the map from a planet, for instance to see where your contacts are. Currently, you need to take off then land again.
STATUS>ATLAS and STATUS>GALAXY are available options. STATUS ATLAS will show you the distance and planet details (if you've been there) for everything in the sector. But yes, to see the map (and your ship), it will cost you fuel, pilot tests, whatever else is involved.
