I wondered if I could use the Merchant's "Jettison Cargo" talent without cargo. So I tried. I got a message saying I had no cargo to jettison. Then the game froze. Music still playing, but buttons all unresponsive. I had to terminate the game. Then I launched the game again and tried the same maneuver, with the same results.

Not related, but funny: I once jettisoned just one unit of, er, biological waste, and stopped pirates that way. They must still be cursing my ship.
