You've probably already thought of this, but in case you haven't, I would like just some different color variants of the same crew outfits that are already out there. Hopefully it would be an easier way to add more variety than creating whole new duds for everyone.

After game start, you can go to into VISUALS in the top menu (left of jobs and talents) and make changes. Current options are eyewear and arm patches. Hats were being considered, don't know status of those tho...

But contributor is asking that the blue officers uniform is provided in gray or red. We could offer this, but it isn't a priority atm. We're focused on more unique outfits. Every outfit chews up valuable space and to give that space over to a wash of color variants is not the turn we want to take.

Great to hear that more outfits are incoming I've been pleasantly surprised with the variety of crew visuals available from just different bodies and heads

It seems like you could make each outfit be saved as a kind of "paint by number" scheme, and just save different mappings of numbers to color schemes. So on the purple/gold male uniform, light purple would be color 1, dark purple color 2, light gold is 3, dark gold is 4, etc. Then you could just substitute bright red for 1, dark red for 2, light grey for 3, medium grey for 4, and you'd now have a red/silver color scheme for the same uniform style, without having to have 2 full copies of the picture. Just swap out the color maps, which would each take up very little memory.
Yeah, I know you probably have more than 2 shades of purple in that image, but just swapping color maps for the same image would still save huge amounts of space even if there are a dozen shades of purple.

It is ... a bit more complex than that.
We are doing everything we can to improve the variety of the uniforms and crew.
After we release we will continue to improve. Thanks for all the feedback.
