There are several mission types where you are finessing contraband/operatives past security forces; if you fail the skill test you fail the mission. Would it be viable to offer the player the option of crew combat to recover the mission, such that:
You fail a stealth test and security guards catch you sneaking someone in to the starport. You can: 1. Accept ignoble defeat and relinquish operative 2. Enter crew combat and fight to complete the mission
2a. Winning combat would ensure mission success but adjusted rep loss etc for causing a fuss 2b. Losing combat would be seriouser rep loss etc for being caught causing a fuss

The system is not designed to handle a second round of choices at this time. There are a lot of reasons we avoided it. We could force more of the failures to automatically drop into crew combat.

No problem; don't want to overload the players who prefer to avoid combat. Guess who's finaly getting the hang of crew combat though lol

Guess who's finaly getting the hang of crew combat though lol Exciting to hear There are a ton of mission types that are still missing from the game, and many of them will feature crew combat as a requirement or as a preferred option for resolution
