It's always feels disappointing when I get 0 rep for Acknowledge. Maybe change the rep gain minimum to 1 instead?

It is not a guaranteed rep gain.

It is not a guaranteed rep gain. I know that. What I am suggesting is that Acknowledge does guarantee 1 rep gain at minimum. Is a sense of disappointment when getting 0 rep in Acknowledge the intended effect?

Lol, not sure. I think a sense of disappointment is a very personal thing.
Acknowledge is very nice. Is it guaranteed free rep? No.

lol And it was only a few weeks ago there was a thread discussing how acknowledging ships gave too much rep for just saying 'hello' and how it needed reducing. Just shows what a fine line the TB have to walk when balancing things. They get my admiration every time.

fallen is there any reason I wouldn't "Demand Tribute" if,the option is available?

bookworm21 - Demanding Tribute increases Hostility (-1) and increases chance that you will be reported. If the enemy ship has low hostility (5?) you can Demand Tribute without much trouble. I will check with Cory Trese to see if there are other missing consequences here.
