As star traders, danger lurks not only in the space but also in the ground. I think it will be cool and more realistic as well if there are small chances of random encounters on ground. For instance, Captain X lands at planet Y, a planet that belongs to his faction. He goes to the exchange with his crew. Because he is a famed enemy of the Steel Song, Steel Song bounty hunters/assassins tries to prey on them while they are on their way,thus leading to crew combat. This will give more use for soldiers, more flavor to reputation and the planet, more possibilities for upgrades (e.g. terrestrial vehicles lessens chance of random encounters), or maybe even events (Xeno infestation in a planet causes Xeno encounters on random encounters) and more opportunities to introduce the lore and culture of the star traders universe. Even merchant captains may be forced to add at least a couple of soldiers to guard the wares they purchased while being hauled back to the ship, or just to protect them on their travels while on ground, fending off assassins, bounty hunters, faction enforcers or bandits. By the way, cool game! It is a gem more than worthy of its price, plus the responsiveness of the devs is a gem by itself

While not something we're able to add immediately, I think these are a good fit.
Either way, some very cool ideas I'd love to work on.
We will consider incorporating the ones that are lore compatible into a future update.

I still don't have game 😂 but encounter with some Xeno in underground hives or maybe awaking some Narvidian machine in tomb/laboratory would be so cool 😄 maybe it is there but I'm so hyped for Android release I couldn't resist to post

I’ve spotted a few story events that happen [seemingly] randomly upon landing. Having miniature vignettes, similar to the crew’s commentary, might be nice. There’s a balance between cool world building and distracting you’d need to find. Cool idea!

I’ve spotted a few story events that happen [seemingly] randomly upon landing. Having miniature vignettes, similar to the crew’s commentary, might be nice. There’s a balance between cool world building and distracting you’d need to find. Cool idea! We will keep adding more with each release. Some of the story vignettes are fairly brief, others will pull you into a multi-year adventure with high risk and high reward. Keep exploring, Captain.
