This Berserker talent deals a large amount of bonus plasma damage with high accuracy and a moderate bonus to penetration. On the downside, it is single-target at all ranks, has limited uses, and costs 9 Heat.
I've really tried to make Kill Strike shine, I really have. (Note: I've only tried on a single-axe Berserker.) However, the axe I use already has very good penetration, and I'm never dealing so little standard damage that bonus plasma damage is the only way through my target's defenses. On higher difficulties, I imagine the 9 heat cost being a concern as well, but for me I just don't get as much benefit investing points into this talent when I could shove all of those points into Strike and get a kick-butt counter-attack and an almost as good single-target finisher. It has slightly more accuracy than the Strike, and the bonus plasma damage is higher than I get as bonus standard damage, but those two areas just don't quite make up the difference for me.
What is the best way to use this talent?

Point for point this thing is just raw single target power. Keep in mind that strike 10’s + damage buffs can roll as anything from 0-46 additional damage. Kill strike 10’s + plasma damage rolls 43-130. Plasma resistance is very limited in the game, making this a very strong talent for defensively geared berserkers. Beserkers relying on raw damage would want to put on crit war gears to amplify their potential to the max, having this hard hitting non crit reliant damage frees up space to make a tanky and still dangerous beserker to single targets.
