@trese Brothers so occasionally I get boarded after having successfully retreated. Is that an artifact of the turn based system? Meaning every turn has to full resolve? Cause it doesn't seem right to get sucked into CC after ship combat is concluded

turk sounds like the AI is using a longer range boarding talent to board you
not sure if it's listed in a battle log yet or not
but keep in mind that Cory keeps making the AI smarter, especially on harder difficulties (duh)

Yeah it's a talented boarding. But I just don't really get the combat apparently resolving "You have successfully fled from the enemy" and then blank screen and CC

if you were at range 5 and it shows you escaped, but they still board you, then it's a bug
if you were just retreating to a different range, then you are fair game

I was range 5 and had gotten the message I escaped
But it's always a talent that gets me. Happened three times or so

Known issue, thanks for reporting!

The fix to the bug is that your escape roll will fail and you will be boarded.

Can I escape and fly away with their boarding crew on the ship? I can just eject them out the airlock after crew combat. :-)

No, the escape is canceled in this case. Just testing the code today.

Can you be specific about what "this" is? I specifically tested this with a mission-driven BH. The use of Blood Game cancels your Escape option and you should be boarded. If that is what "this" is ... that's intended behavior

Also, its symmetrical, so using Blood Game from Range 5 cancels any escape they attempted have made automatically.

The boarding combat from Blood Game occurs, then after that combat is concluded the escape is successful.

This happened once, and the next time it correctly cancelled the escape attempt as intended
