the problem to me is to not losing 1 rep but the loss of the trade permit 4 ... way so easy to lose it especially for it god dam price It would really be nice to say witch interaction may lose us our permit, rank , edict to prevent easy loss without warning because check every action if our faction have not a faction conflict is quite painful. You should not purchase Trade Permit 4 in this case. Level 4 permits are the only ones you can lose for Trade Permits, and you should think of them as a limited use item. They're going to expire. Buy them to use them, not to hold them. You can hold Grade 3 Permits, Grade 4 Edicts and Grade 12 Ranks without risk, but going above those you should expect it to be a temporary boost.

Not all chummers belong to the same choir and do we don't all sing the same tune but the one thing that is ever present is that the fans are just as pationate about the games as anyone else including the original game designers ! I think it's perfectly fine, normal and healthy for fans to dislike (and post about) certain aspects of a game while enjoying other parts of it. Modern games have so many features and mechanics that it's virtually impossible to like every single facet or detail anyways but if the overall gaming experience is positive then this still counts as a win. Ahh and yes going mainstream is tougher than it looks Finally for the TLDR section: ok so the lvl 4 permit is an extreme advantage that a faction grants a trader and in return for that privilege that said faction expects complete and utter display of loyalty in time of conflict. This means no acknowledgements on random space encounters on opposing factions and instead the expectations is to engage them in combat. If that's the case then ok fair enough, that actually has some logic to it. So would this apply to any kind of conflict or just a trade war? For example Would the lvl 4 trading faction expect us to go to war on their behalf in a spy conflict too?

Any loss of reputation when you are above quote : You can hold Grade 3 Permits, Grade 4 Edicts and Grade 12 Ranks without risk, but going above those you should expect it to be a temporary boost.
will be a loss of those faction "bonus". so holding a rank 4 permit like cory have say is a temporary boost. now i see those trade 4 permit only for selling huge amount of trade 4 cargo and can't smuggling it in this planet for huge profit. but find a cargo where it will pay off a 50k and use personal rep of a prince is really a very heavy cost :s.

Sweet! Trade Permit 3 FTW! Yeap. Worth adding that depending on the map and what stage of the game we are in a trade 3 permit with access to rare trade goods can make more money than using a regular trade license lvl4 for regular lvl3 or 4 commodities.. Perhaps as little too much in this current version of the game. Without the trade goods though the lvl 3 permit isn't very impressive.

Slightly derailing this conversation, shouldn't Rare Trade Goods be RARE?
I find it ridiculous that I can buy unlimited amounts so long as I have enough rep to access it. (Note: comment based on my experience from a few updates ago. Not sure if this has changed)

(Note: comment based on my experience from a few updates ago. Not sure if this has changed) It is on the list to throttle the ability to purchase rare trade goods. You can see from the UI which services are in a finished state and which are not. Any service that has multiple tiers with different requirements is in a finished state. Any that doesn't (Rare Trade Goods, Intel, Pardons) is not. Thanks! It's ridiculous of you to derail like that.
