I have only played through a couple of times so far, so I am still trying to figure out which classes/talents affect each different card game. I had a spy, by midgame on basic difficulty, who had about 10 "card tricks" for the spy card game like remove risk, reroll bad, insert score, etc. But then, I had an explorer, by about the same point in time, who had exactly two "card tricks". For the spy game, there are a bunch of different classes with a talent, like gunner, etech, and a few others who have obvious spy card tricks. For explorer, I have not found many. a. Is there a list of talents which can be sorted by what "area" they affect? There can be 6-8 areas, obviously ship combat, crew combat, spy game, blockade game, explorer game. I have found the list of all talents on this wiki, but it doesn't have a column for that. If nobody has created one, I can try adding to that wiki, but if it's already done somewhere ... startraders.gamepedia.com/Talentsb. Is it true that there are so few talents for the exploration card game? Or am I just missing explorer talents in other classes? The explorer class has two, as far as I know, and I suppose exo-scout has some. But these classes don't seem to have much useful effect on the rest of the game, like gunners and e-tech. Having the area column would let us quickly count up and know whether the explorer game is weak.

daveal - I can work on adding type as a sortable field. That page is generated by the game every update, so don't try it yourself It will get wiped next update.

Thanks! I have concluded that exploration doesn't get enough card tricks. For patrol, the gunner level 5 talent removes a risk, everybody has gunners. For spying, both etech and pilot have a level 5 talent, we have lots of those. Blockading has one in the main crew. As far as I can tell, exo-scout gets one reroll (not even a remove risk) for exploration and so does explorer (officer only, also a reroll only). But among crew, exo-scouts have to be specially recruited one by one. So it's pretty easy to have 4-5 risk removals for the other card games, but pretty unlikely to have more than 2 rerolls for exploration. Did I miss any?

There are 5 card manipulation Talents between Exo-Scout and Explorer jobs. Yes, it is a more specialized type of operation, to get out of your ship and trek off into the wilderness. On the other hand, sailing your ship around a system is the kind of thing that many of your crew trained to do.
There will be more Jobs in the future, and 2 of them are slotted to have additional Explorer Talents.
